I have used this type of locks in my childhood.

I used it for my electric bicycle.
I used it for my electric bicycle (Motovolt Kivo Easy) and its working fine ....I didnt want to carry a wire lock all the time.I had to custom install it (See picture ) with steel wires as the ones in the box weren't of sufficient length !!!! Basically tied them all together but its working well.
