Works as intended

Inspecting the parts make a huge difference, OEM parts are made to fit perfect.
This OEM starter clutch kit from Yamaha , had some hiccups , I couldn’t fit the the starter gear into the one way clutch ,after looking into the part was able to figure it out , some of the rollers or tees where going the opposite way then the rest , after correcting them , it fit just perfect , everything else went smooth, I’m not sure while I did when I was trying to fit in but finally after a week of research I finally got it working and my motorcycle is back on running , my advise to you out there that are trying to buy this kit is to make sure to inspect the one way clutch and make sure all the tees are line up same direction, hope this help someone out there, Orlando.

Only lasted 5 years In My 2005 VStar 1100
Thought all this was updated OEM Part's!!! The starter gear was not the right one!! Had to order it from Yamaha!! Had the kit put in!! Yes the bike fired up and ran but as of 03/12/2023 The one way clutch went out again left me stranded 45miles from home!!! I bout this kit From this site in 2018!!! Wy would somthing costing so much not last like A OEM Part would!!! Now Im stuck with the thought of eather spending another $500.00 on just A one way clutch from Yamaha them selves or selling my bike for parts!!! Ive been A Mechanic for over 30 years road bikes everywhere!! Ive never had this happen before!!! Sorry!!! But What Would You Do!!!

Don't waste money on the cheap kits.
Get the genuine part. The cheap kits won't last. This kit arrived quickly and installed easily.
