Well balanced and sturdy
This cue is the best I’ve owned to date and for the price, is well worth buying. Very balanced and the tip is a very well made piece. Highly recommend.

Amazing
This cue is an amazing value for the price. I don't think you can find a better cue, with a wrap, at this price point, hands down. The wrap is comfortable and securely glued. It feels like it will last. The design is vibrant while still looking classy. The joint is secure, and when put together the cue feels similar to a one-piece, probably due to the wood-on-wood contact inside the joint. I've bought two now, one for backup at a different weight (19 0z., whereas my original one is 18 oz.), and the wood inside the joint has a slight burr, but this doesn't seem to affect play so far.The wood of the shaft is very smooth, but I quickly smoothed off the wax that comes on the shaft, as it was a bit lumpy.I quickly replaced the tip that comes on the stick. The cheap Elk Master tips are better quality and play better. I don't fault the stick maker for this, of course--these things run according to taste to some degree.Balance on the stick is decent for the price. I bought the 18-ounce, and get very consistent results with it .The anti-warp guarantee is a big plus. All in all, it's a fantastic stick. I bought it to replace a much more expensive one which developed a slight bend, and wound up liking this inexpensive Players cue better. I may switch back to 19 ounces sooner or later, but overall I couldn't be happier with the two Players sticks I've bought so far. Last night I kicked butt in a match with my new stick, and really couldn't be happier.I do recommend immediate re-tipping, and smoothing the shaft somewhat. I use ultrafine sandpaper (McDermott McMagic), and wouldn't use anything which leaves oils for this. The stick plays very well now.

This is an excellent playing cue
This is an excellent playing cue. I just wanted an inexpensive cue to play in the pool halls that, if stolen, wouldn't bend the wallet...this cue FAR exceeded my expectations! I've been playing this game for upwards of 3 decades and have owned virtually every major cue...still have my old Meucci Sneaky Pete. This cue plays every bit as well as any that I've owned : Meucci (3), McDermott (2), Schmelke (1), and Joss (1) - I don't know if the manufacturers and technology have gotten that much better, or if Cue & Case (manufacturer of Lucasi & Players, among others) just decided to up the quality of Players cues to capture the business of players that wanted a quality cue without footing the bill for a Lucasi. The reality is that the SHAFT is the component that is most important. The butt, and overall cue when jointed, must be well balanced...I don't care about the label! This shaft has VERY strong quality! No, it's not an LD shaft, but if I choose to go that route, I will just buy an HXT shaft and call it a day.P.S. - This is a very good looking cue - a little more green tint than pictured, but that doesn't take away from the look.

Very nice but....
Back in the day my father owned what was called a "pool hall". You old timers know what I'm talking about. Anyhow, my grandfather actually ran it for my dad. This was back when you had no coin operated tables. Solid slate Brunswick with leather pockets. Been playing pool since I was old enough to see over the table and hold a cue correctly. Bought this cue to get back in to shooting pool again. I have had about a 20 year hiatus. Overall this is a nice cue. The only complaint I really have is the tip is a little too hard for my taste. Replace with a medium tip and you are off and running the table with much more control. I would definitely buy a Players cue again.

An Excellent cue at an affordable price!
I recently decided to start playing pool again after several years of not playing. A few years ago, I gave away my McDermott cue stick and needed to buy another cue. Rather than purchasing another high-end cue, I decided to start back with a more economical one. I’m glad I did. This cue is very well built, straight as an arrow and has the feel of a much more expensive one.

Not cobalt blue but good stick.
It’s a nice stick, shoots well. It is not cobalt blue, it’s much more of a teal or turquoise, but not cobalt.

Still holding strong
Got a 19oz for my dad in 2019 and he still loves it. Uses it as his first choice in every game. He is A to A+ level in his league. Straight and accurate definitely would suggest this stick.
