Dritz 6" Sliding Marker Sewing Gauge, Nickel with Black Printing and Blue Slider

Absolutely love this gauge. The weight is solid yet still bendy enough - if you know you know. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, as I was expecting another flimsy lightweight product. I can finally replace my 30 year old gauge that was near impossible to read after so much use.

One day I was struggling to hem up some pants. Really having a hard time with it - getting them even all around and even with each leg. It was really annoying. And then I had a flashback of my mom's sewing room and the little gadget she had. This is the gadget and it works really well. It just makes it really easy to get the right length. (First you have to decide what length you want, that's the hard part now.) Once you decide what length you want, move the little part to the right place and then use it to measure around your pants as you pin them up - or iron them - however you usually do it.Some people say the little moveable part is flimsy, I didn't have any problems, but I'm pretty gentle with things.I'm really happy that I found this item - especially since I didn't know what it was called. It was very much worth the price and I highly recommend this tool. It's so much easier to use than a ruler. I no longer dread hemming pants, and as a short person I always have to hem them.

I’m using this for sewing (great for hemming), and it will be helpful with mosaic, bead work and many other art forms.

I've used this seam guage before and the only negative is that is can bend if not careful. Otherwise, it's great.

This little tool is so simple but so helpful! I’ve used it to iron hems on several projects, including a bed skirt – so lots of long folds. It’s not the sturdiest of tools and the plastic slide is easy to melt if you aren’t careful with an iron, so I see why you might want to buy more than one or spring for a higher quality version if you will need to use it a lot.

Quite flimsy. Product arrived bent. Not sure if this was caused during transit.

Seems well made. I haven't used it yet. The slider is stiff which i think is good so it won't move around.

Posiblemente te preguntes para qué quieres esto si tienes una cinta métrica o una regla más grande; te ahorra mucho tiempo porque tienes el tope y no tienes que estar midiendo cada vez; simplemente marcas la medida sobre el papel o la tela sin volver a fijarte en ella.Creo que también te sirve para botones, pero aún no llego a esa parte.

Excellent cost to quality ratio. This seam gauge is exactly what I was hoping for. It's made of metal with a plastic slide. The markings are all clearly marked and I find it easy to use. I would definitely buy it again if needed.
