When buying a house or a new car, some people will splash the saint water around the house or car for future safety. After the funeral, the family will wash their body with 'Guanyin Saint Water" according to the custom. The mourners will use their fingers touching the saint water spraying on the face to wash away bad luck. The sacared instruments are used to purify and ward off evil and negative energy, use as instructed by Shaman.
