This mouse/rat catching lid does fit the recommended bucket as advertised so don’t believe the reviews that say it isn’t a good fit.However, it needed a little more thought because I was trying to clip it on the lip of the bucket when it fits snug just inside the rim.We will have to wait for how effective it is.

The original US non-Chinese rip-off still the best.

I tried to do the right thing here by buying the genuine Rinne Traps item. In so doing I paid in excess of £31 for this item from USA. But my decision kind of backfired. There are a couple of problems:• Build quality is pretty poor with the product having a flimsy and brittle feel. I appreciate this is intended to be a low cost, mass produced item for simply catching mice in a bucket. It’s not a Frisbee. But I was expecting it to have a slightly more durable feel with some likelihood of lasting a reasonable time.• Here’s the clincher for us Brits and our European friends. This item is designed to be compatible with the ‘standard US 5-gallon bucket’. Unfortunately I cannot find any standard UK/European metric bucket that this device with sit on, let alone clip onto.So far it’s a disappointment and I’m going to have to fiddle with it to put it to any sensible mouse-trapping use.Of course what I don’t know with the cheaper alternative versions is whether they have simply copied the dimensions of the original US product, including the dedicated 5–gallon bucket compatibility, or made any attempt to convert the dimensions for a UK/European market.

The recommended bucket on Amazon does not work. I happened to own a couple of these Meguiars buckets already, which obviously use the American design, and the trap fits on them like a glove.

I wanted this to work but it was ridiculously expensive and didn’t come with the bucket. It was almost impossible to find one to fit and we went to many shops and that was annoying. we got one almost right and had to duct tape it to make it work. We caught nothing and ended up chucking this all out. We did buy the extra long humane traps and they worked perfectly. Avoid this product.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using old style single traps for years with varying results so after my fishing tackle was eaten by mice I needed to up my game. I bought the trap and the recommended bucket and was disappointed to see that the bucket was too big and the trap fell in to the bucket. What is really disappointing is the. Bucket was recommended 😡. Clearly Amazon haven’t tried or confirmed the pair are suitable for each other and this to me shows they do not care about the consumer. All they are interested in is your money. I’m now the proud owner of a very nice bucket 🤷🏼‍♂️. I would expect this from Temu not from Amazon 😡

I am sure this is a great product in the US - but if you cant be bothered to recommend a bucket that works with it - or even provide more detail of the size looking for then you should not be selling it in the UK. I chose yours rather than a Chinese one as I thought you would have your act together. I am sure I will bodge something up but many wont. The Amazon - buy this recommendation is to big.
