67 yo male, first time trying making my own pasta. Watched a couple YouTube videos and took off. Made the dough by hand (flower and egg) let it rest about 45 min. And took off. Flowered the machine up a little, run my cleaner batch (discorded). Divided my dough ball in 1/4s, kept covered. Worked though the roller 7 down to 1 and some down to position 2. Couldn't tell a lot of dif. Flowered up the cutter and took off. I found it easier the cut the rolled pasta in half before running though cutter. Shorter length was much more manageable for old hands . Easier to keep it straight in the cutter. No law against 8-12in. pasta. Keep things lightly flowered. You pasta and the machine. Cooks pretty quick. I was around 4 min. and came out better pretty good. In fact I'll prob only buy store pasta again in an emergency. Start to finish about about 1:15 hrs including the 45 min. proofing. Easy - taste much better/fresher - Little time consuming - but easy and rewarding. Go for it - Remember a little flower is your friend - think of it as your oil.

The media could not be loaded. Initial reaction was that I was annoyed when I opened the box because the machine was dented in a few places. These dents have no effect on the quality of the pasta this can produce, but I don’t feel like I’ve earned this amount of “character” so quickly. Cut to the chase- excellent machine, easy to use. You have your rollers to roll out the dough before cutting (great, nothing to change here). However, there are two cutting options (1 for a linguine/fettuccine and 1 for spaghetti). You can’t adjust the width of either of these, so you have to go off of the thickness of your dough. I was hoping you could adjust the width of these cuts but you can’t. Not sure if this is standard, but it’s just not what I had in mind. If you can make dough, this machine will do the job. Super easy to use, mostly easy to clean- after making pasta I let the machine sit for a couple days, then any leftover dried pasta I pick out with a wooden skewer. There is some machine oil in the bearings, so as the instructions say, run some scrap dough through each part a few times before using. I’d recommend this as a budget friendly, excellent value machine for anyone wanting to give pasta making a try.

So, I've never made pasta before, but I made it on my first try. I found a recipe online that called for a little less than the amount of flour specified in the manual. I used 2 cups of flour, 3 eggs, a little extra virgin olive oil, and salt. The dough was pretty easy to make, even for a beginner like me. I kneaded it for about 5 minutes, then cut it into 4 pieces, shaped them into balls, and let them rest.Next, I rolled the dough through the highest setting (8) on the pasta machine. I followed the instructions to fold it with flour and run it through again. Then, I jumped down to setting 5 and rolled it through twice. I thought about trying setting 4, but on setting 1, the dough was so thin that it didn't cut well for me. I found that settings 4 or 5 were best for making fettuccine for alfredo.The pasta cooked in 4 minutes. Honestly, I'll never want to use dried box pasta again. This was actually really easy to make and tasted fresh and delicious. I'm so glad my first attempt turned out so well.The pasta machine was good; it gave me no problems.. It's small, but for a few people or a small family, it's really all you need. For the price (around $25), it seems like a good deal. I'm happy I decided to buy it. The gears are slightly off. The noodles stick to each other. I have to manually separate the noodles. Also it can only fit on my kitchen counter. I tried to clamp it on my dining table. It doesn’t fit.

I used this exact noodle maker at a cooking class and loved it so I ordered one for myself. I've used mine a half a dozen times and it works perfectly! I even used it to make large noodles for lasagna.

The noodle cutter would not cut without a lot of babying...very time-consuming. Not near as good as my old one that wore out and it was only $20. Plus it was very squeaky. Would not recommend.
