This is an analog film camera, not a digital camera. Essentially, the app can be used like a remote control, but images can't be previewed beforehand on the app.

The Polaroid Now+ camera is fully analog so you can use it as a point-and-shoot like classic Polaroid cameras. It does not need to be used exclusively in conjunction with a phone. The phone connectivity simply adds some extra, fun controls via the app.

Q: When I take the pictures and I have the app does it goes to my phone gallery where I can save them?

This is an analog camera, so it will not save digital copies of your photos automatically, but you can use the Polaroid app to scan your Polaroid photos when they have finished developing, in order to have a digital copy on your phone.

Q: Can you adjust to a slower shutter speed, for low light or light trail affects?

Yes, you can do that with this camera in conjunction with the Polaroid app in manual mode or light painting mode.
