Does the scheduler have a 7 or 365 day schedule?

Calendar scheduling.  Events (announcements and audio) can be scheduled by the day into multiple years on a per hour, minute & seconds, to daily, weekly, monthly, annual, multi-annual schedules. Schools use this feature to schedule classroom changes multiple times each day but have different schedules created for summer school, whereas a production plant may have regular lunch breaks the same year round with exception to holiday schedules, whereas a mall may wish to automate announcements about upcoming events during different times of the day and different events on different days at different hours, but regularly remind customers every day of every year about the mall closing with an announcement at 30 minutes, then 15 minutes, then 5 minutes prior to closing to finish shopping, and final announcement they are closed, etc...

Question 2

can it be set up with 1 extension and multi codes for different zones?  each code is a zone.  or this one must set up an extension for each zone?

Yes to either choice you prefer.

There are two options for Multicast Paging to multiple zones: ‘DTMF Selectable Mode’ or via multiple page extensions. The ‘DTMF Selectable Mode’ offers a dynamic page zone selection and requires only the 8301 master device to have a registered SIP Extension.

To page, dial the SIP extension of the specific 8301 that is your master multicast device and then dial the desired DTMF page zone (e.g. 1, 2, etc.).

Alternatively, you could setup individual extensions such as 1001, 1002, 1003 etc.

So we used to have a win phone system with an external amp and speakers for lound ring and page. we now have polycom 301 voip phones. can this be used

The Algo 8301 and Algo 8373 can be used to integrate old paging equipment into a VoIP environment and while the 8301 has a large list of features, you may find complementing your deployment with one or more Algo 8180 / Algo 8186 Loud Ringer and Paging modules will modernize your old paging functions. All functions are independent of phone, phone brand, phone model -- no phones required! :)  Plug the 8301 relay port to your paging system's trigger port and the 8301 audio output  to the audio in on your amplifier and assign an extension on your PBX/provider.  Because the Algo 8301 supports multicast, a business can also utilize Polycom's built-in multicast and paging functions as well as rebroadcast to other Algo devices - meaning you can have groups of phones, single phones, simply overhead, or everything, such as emergency alerts and such. For basketball court rental want to use this to remind customer their time is up  & other announcement.  can this connect to visual alerter as well?

The Algo 8301 uses a calendar-based scheduler to setup regular alerts such as shift change, classroom bells, etc. and regular automated announcements as as streaming SIP audio while capable of triggering a visual alert such as the Algo 1128 or multiple Algo 8128 / 8128G2 / 8138 strobe lights.   The rental clerk could enter all the court rental expiration times and the Algo 8301 could play an uploaded announcement at each interval that a particular court time has expired.   If there are different courts, it is possible for the 8301 to send a multicast page to a different SIP speakers, SIP strobes, or both located in each court.  You would want to add the Algo 8180G2 or Algo 8186 / 8188 SIP speaker for multiple courts. Your inquiry however has a lot of variables / unanswered questions with regard to suitability and might be better discussed with your Algo dealer to determine the best way to load the scheduling interface via Web GUI or file upload and required components to create a complete workable solution.
