Cal Hawk Drill Bit, Bolt and Wire Gauge

Some of the holes are too small to allow the correct-size drill bit to enter. I've got better things to do, than to sit around using sandpaper to enlarge the holes. Chinese junk.

Extremely handy tool. I build various projects (electronics and things) that often need holes for enclosures or hangars. This tool helps get the right size drill bit or screw for whatever application I'm working on. Also handy if you need to sort out one of those miscellaneous bins of various sized fasteners.I put marks (using silver Sharpie) on mine to denote size 4, 6, 8 and 10 screws. This also helps get the right size drill bit for tapping a hole for those screws.

Always wanted one. Now I know exactly what size each bit is.

I had one of these from years ago and it went missing and luckily I found it here on Amazon.If you drill or use bolts or wires this will save you a ton of time in the long run. No more holes that are too small or too big. The item just plain works and is made of high quality steel and it is very strong. The unit is all black and the letters are a bright white so you can easily see it. It has sizing for drill bits, bolts and wires. I highly recommend this product.

When I first got this thing in the mail, I was like what did I order that was so heavy? Then I opened the package and remember I order this thing. This gauge is far from cheap, it's nicely powder coated and has etched measurements on the back. This tool will hold up for a long time. I will use it for measuring screws and bolts and using the appropriate drill bit for the hole. My only problem with this tool is misplacing it and not knowing where I put it last, but that's with any tool.

This gauge is priced right and I am very happy with it. On one side the markings are filled with white paint so easy to read. Marked in both fractions and metric. Bonus is that it is made out of a heavy duty steel blank that doubles as a handy straight edge. I have tossed out the plastic gauges I have accumulated over the years! Highly recommend!

The gauges that I received (I bought 2) were both metal (which will last much longer than plastic) and have the sizes shown in white letters. Great for use in the shop or around the house when you need to know which size drill to use to make a pilot hole for the screws you need to install. And they were delivered sooner than predicted. Great buy, and one that I recommend highly!

Excellent drill bit gauge. Very well made and it has some weight to it. Both side are stamped with the hole size and one side is highlighted in white, for those who need glasses, Like Me!I look at both Lowe's, Home Depot and Walmart, needless to say neither had it.
