Are you able to angle the stands to place in a corner?

No. The stand is fixed and cannot be angled. I saw a similar stand on here that could be angled because the side pieces lapped over the center instead of being screwed on like this one.

Can you take the center piece off and just use the two end pieces for 24 in monitors?

I don't remember where the pegs are attached on the center piece..

How large is the open section (Under, where drawers are). Would a 20-inch long keyboard fit in it?

It's 14.5 inches wide, so no your keyboard would not fit.
