Nice long term project

The canvas image is just under the stated size of 20X40cm. The pictures are out of scale that I thought it was 20X40 inches when I ordered it. But the product does clearly state it's centimeters, so that mistake is on me. But its much smaller than the pictures would indicate.The canvas pattern does not match the images in the ad. If you compare my attached picture of the lower left corner of the pattern, you can see that you will not end up with the stars and hearts as depicted. In addition, the variations in the browns on the trunk of the tree do not exist as they are shown in the ad.I completed the three lightest colors, with just enough of the first color, half a strand over what I needed for the second color, and (I estimate) about a 24-inch strand short of the third color. In looking back at the kit to do this review, I also realize there is a fair amount of overstitching that would be done at the end to get the detail needed. I did not receive any pattern for that in my kit. Without the overstitching you won't get the word Christmas at the bottom, you won't get the icicles, or the red holly.I'm abandoning the project because it will not turn out anything like the picture in the ad. The canvas is good quality, the thread is beautiful (.not enough of it), and the needles are suited to the purpose. But the pattern was reduced incorrectly and doesn't look like the pictures. You can literally enlarge the ad and see the differences between the pattern I got and the pattern in the ad. And, finally, there is no pattern provided for the much needed overstitching.

Love the tree project, well done and easy to follow, just didn’t start it early enough for this Christmas… next year it will be up and framed 🥰
