I wrote assembly instructions here!
My project piles get a little much, so I put them away somewhere and lose track of them, which leads me to start another project. I thought it was getting a little silly, and drawers & normal shelving wasn't working out. This format lets me bundle my projects away in a more naturally not-creased manner, keeps everything in sight, and is sufficiently non-linear that my brain can burble along more easily in recognizing and prioritizing what needs to be done. Also, there's some natural dust-minimization with this format.Putting it together was insane if I tried to follow the directions. I used to *write* directions, and I know it can be hard, but the choices of image and direction were... whimsical.Eventually, instead of building it top down and out to in, I put it together bottom up and in to out. Clear as mud, right? Here's how that went.ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:First thing, only look at the first picture in the booklet, where all the boards are numbered and in place. Ignore the rest. They're mostly insane.1. Build the bottom first. This is the base. It doesn't make sense until it has a base. The picture on page 8 *may* be helpful. It's the sanest instruction here.Once the base is assembled, put it face-down, so the little holes on the edges are visible from above.2. Assemble the big pieces.A. Put the big V's together, edge to bottom, then turn each big V so the little holes on the edges are visible from above.Lay them down in order from the bottom up. This will keep you from getting things mixed up. Keep those holes in sight.2. B. The boards are numbered. It may help to know that the boards numbered 1 & 2s go on the same side, and that the boards numbered 3 & 4s go on the other side.3. Now it's time to link the big V's.You've got them laid out with the little edge holes showing, so you know they're in proper relationship to each other.Take the small #12 boards, make sure their little edge-holes are facing up, and, one at a time, screw them into the V below them and the V above, one at each level & each side. I recommend attaching them starting from the top of the case, so you have room to us an electric screwdriver.4. Reality check:At this point, you're looking at the tree configuration laid out above, and barely touching, the base configuration. If not, make the needed adjustments until you are. This MDF is good quality, so it handles being unscrewed and rescrewed well!5. Attach the backing boards to hold it all together. There are 2 boards for the back, and they'll be close to perfectly lined up but maybe not exact. That's okay. The small steel bands provide enough stability and the boards wind up being very well secured to the structure, so it turns out good and sturdy. You're done, except for final touches.6. Final touches:6. A. Apply the stickers to cover the screws, if you think that looks better.6. B. Throw away those ridiculous feet. All they'll do is buckle and crack under the weight of this sturdy case.Put on good furniture gliders or heavy felt pads instead.Give adhesive a day or two to cure before putting up the case, the longer the better up to 3 days; you'll be happy you did, because the adhesive will hold a whole lot better for a whole lot longer. This is an under-appreciated step, and people often complain of adhesive that doesn't hold when the fact is they didn't let it cure, which any decent adhesive needs to do. This is good to know.6. C. If the floor is wobbly or you're in an earthquake zone (including anywhere with small children!) then use the included ribbon and screw to attach it to a part of the wall where there's a stud or something structural to hold it. It's not tall, but it's remarkably heavy.7. Load it up and enjoy the benefits.I'm very happy with the look and quality of these shelves. I expect them to hold up well. I'm glad I didn't give up on assembling them.

Pretty and holds books
The book shelf is a beautiful way for my daughter to display her favorite books. Her current bookshelf was overflowing and Santa got her some new books. She was very happy. My husband did say the instructions were garbage but it was easy enough to put together considering her has built a lot of furniture.

Hard to assemble
It’s very cute. And perfect for a small space. However, this is definitely a two person job. And if you attempt to do it but yourself at least have a drill on hand. Me and my partner put it together and it took wayyy longer than expected. The holes don’t exactly align. And some of the holes were so tiny and difficult to get the screen in using the Allen key so we ended up using the screwdriver to widen the holes before proceeding. Overall I’m satisfied with my purchase. Assembly was just a headache 😅

Definitely different!
It's a strange yet functional design. It isn't very tall but the unique structure adds a great deal of artistic flare to any room. We use it for comics; such as mangas, and games. It truly is a great buy for the money. It's also a great conversation starter 😁

Smaller than it appears
Having put together another tree shelf, I knew what to expect in regards to the vague instructions. Please pay very close attention to the drawings! Make sure the holes are aligned as shown. It took about 40 minutes, if this is your first time doing one of these, it can take longer. As the title states, this was a tad smaller than I was expecting. I expected it to be a little wider at least and that the base would’ve been a little bigger. This shelf really is designed for more small paperback sized books. It can hold the typical hardcover ones, though it doesn’t quite fit as you’d imagine. One of the boards had a scuff on the corner, but thankfully it’s not something you can see once I completed it.Pro Tip! The instructions would have you connect the base to the backing then to the tree. It’s far easier to align the holes by doing the reverse: align the backing to the tree shelf, then line up the base.Hope this helps! It’s nice enough with a mid quality feel, just wish it were a little bigger to more comfortably house hardcover books.

A little tricky
Pay close attention to the direction of the pieces. It was tricky to put together but when I figured out what to pay attention to, it turned out nicely.

Obsessed.
Kind of a pain to assemble, but so worth it once put together. No matter how many reviews I read about how much smaller it is in person, I still wasn’t prepared for how small it is in person. Some of my books are too big for the center shelves but display nicely on the outer shelves. Overall I love it for the space, fun and unique, totally obsessed.

Depth measurement does not include full depth.
The full depth with the back board support is 9.25", with another eighth of an inch if you need to account for the braces and screws that connect the two back boards. I had a very specific narrow space and this will not fit. Since I already assembled this I doubt I can return it but I have no use for it since it cannot fit in the space I have. The vertical space on each shelf is 6". I find the 8.8" measurement on the product picture useless as it measures the outside diagonal edge of two shelves not the actual usable height. It does appear to be very sturdy and stable. Watch your orientation of the holes where the back board attaches. It's easy to get #12 upside down and make it appear the holes are in the wrong place.
