Whitmor 24 Pocket Over the Door Shoe Bag

I bought two of these. We retired to a small home. I used mine in the bathroom on the back of the door. It isn't even seeable or noticeable with the door propped open! The hardware is very very good.. I like that about it. Very stable. The quality of the hanger is terrific. It's not particularly wide, which (in my case) is fantastic. When I'm getting ready to go somewhere and doing my hair and whatnot, I have been opening up my bathroom closet and getting stuff out to use...or I had cluttered up the counter top with items that I use most often. When I'm at the bathroom sink/mirror, I can now shut the door and have access to all those things I use most often. From hairspray, deoderant, colognes and perfumes,makeup, hair brushes and combs, lotions and whatnot, my counter top cleaner, air freshners, and other toiletries. And there's still plenty of space to add more later if I want. These panels are wide enough to put two or three brushes and some combs in the same slot if you like. My counter top is cleaned off, pristine and looks so good... no clutter at all... a candle, and soap dispenser is all that is left there. Awesome. My husband wants to use his in the extra room that he uses as an office. He feels he has to have everything handy even if he only uses it once every three years. He's a hoarder too. But now, the room is absolutely clutter free and he's organized all his electronic chargers, extra cords and "stuff" I can't identify. One compartment holds his pencils and pens, another some notebooks and warranties.... It's all nicely organized "behind" the door. I'm very happy that all this "stuff" that's been cluttering up my extra room is gone from sight. It's a real plus that this is not too wide, that the hardware that holds the organizer to the door is very sturdy and yet not bulky. Being that the pockets are clear you can easily find what you're looking for... no more searching for anything. You can get quite a lot of "stuff" into each pocket. Even if your stuff ends up being fairly heavy, this organizer is of a quality that seems to hold it all well. You can't even see them when you have the door open. I used some double sided tape (for sixteen pound hold), put it where you can't see it, and it doesn't even move at all. Wonderful... so glad I ordered them, and I'm going to order more. I was thinking at the back of my shower to hang on a high towel shelf to take in shampoos, body wash, conditioners, and so on. I'm also going to put one in my closet behind my clothes and use it for socks and hats, scarves, gloves... and one for my crafts. I'm sooo hooked on this organizer.

I LOVE the Whitmor over-the-door shoe organizer! If you have not started using a shoe organizer to organize miscellaneous things in your house, stop reading this and DO IT NOW! I cannot believe I didn't do this sooner and I also can't believe what a positive impact two shoe-organizers can have on a person's life. I used these as organizers for things other than shoes. Such as in my office to contain various office supplies like cords, chargers, headphones, post-its, air cans, pens, pencils, markers, gift tags, glue, tape, label maker, calculators...the possibilities are ENDLESS! It allowed me to get rid of TWELVE little drawer organizers that were taking up a full bookshelf and made space for actual books. Plus, this is all hidden behind a door so no one sees it. I love how the sections are see-through. If you are using this for organizing small, varied items, having it be see-through is a must. A canvas shoe-organizer would be too difficult to know what is in what pocket. My husband and I both agree that we had so many more office supplies than we realized and we are actually able to use them now because you open it, glance and immediately see what you need. I also used a second one in our playroom closet to hold flash cards, silly putty, markers, crayons, glue, glue sticks, stickers, and there's TONS of space left for more stuff that you inevitably accumulate over time when you have children. I also love that I was able to put the items that I want my 4 year old to be able to access herself low, where she can reach them without assistance, so it is teaching her how to put her things away, yet I can keep things I don't want her to have access to up higher. I seriously want one of these in EVERY room. I'm so glad these were on sale when I got them which made me get two, and I plan to get more. I think I could use one of these in the garage or basement solely for computer and power cords. I highly recommend this for a person who likes things in their place. I'm not a huge fan of the included hangers, so we plan to do a more permanent solution since this seems to scratch the door a bit. Easy fix!

I just loved this shoe organizer at first sight! I was initially hesitant to purchase it because I was thinking it wouldn't be that durable nor would it be large or small enough for my daughter's shoes. I also worried about not being able to close the closet door due to the hangers. But I figured, why not try it out and if it doesn't work I would send it back. I am so glad I did!!! I immediately ran upstairs to try it out after I took it out of the packaging. It is perfect. It appears durable but only time will tell. Normally, I put her shoes on the floor lined up in the closet and that has worked for 6 years (she is 6 yo) for both of us, but recently I was thinking of ways to maximize space in her closet. And so I decided to give this a try. I purchased this item, it was delivered today and it is already in use. I have the organizer actually inside the closet door hanging. I don't want to see it when the closet doors are closed. Of course parts of the hooks are showing but it is not a big deal; they are not bulky. I am so geeked to see what my baby girl will say when she wakes up in the morning to get her shoes for school. :) We will see how things work out but I think it's a perfect way to get her to put her shoes away every time she takes them off instead of just leaving them in random locations of the house...LOL...maybe hopeful wishing on my part, but I think she will get a kick out of this organizer and will want to use it all the time :) I hope it shows itself to be durable over an extended period of time since the pockets that hold the shoes is just plastic. But since it is thicker than normal, I think it will be alright.
