I just completed my second chick hatch in this incubator. The first time I did a semi-dry hatch where I kept humidity between 25-40% and of the 19 fertile eggs that went into lockdown, I had 100% hatch on day 19, which is 2 days early for chicken eggs.The second hatch I incubated fully dry with zero water added. The humidity naturally hovered around 24-28%. Of the 20 fertile eggs that went into lockdown, I again had 100% hatch of chicken eggs on day 19. This unit is hatching eggs reliably early and all the chicks are healthy!For BOTH hatches we experienced multiple short, quick power outs. The longest was 15 minutes. Each time the incubator came back on, remembered the correct count-down day and continued turning the eggs without any issues. This is impressive since spring & summer thunderstorms tend to occur at the same time of year I want to hatch chicks and some incubators stay off after power outs. This one has proven very reliable!It is very easy to use. Directions are straight-forward and everything is adjustable. The built-in LED candler works perfect if you place a half-sheet of black card stock with a centered, 1/2 inch hole over it to direct a thinner beam of light into the egg. Even my blue eggs are easy to see through this way! (The eggs in the picture have air cells traced which were viewed using the built in candler. I don’t own any other type of candler.)Consider still using an extra thermometer. A second digital thermometer said my unit was running a degree too low so I increased the temp to 100.5 on the unit to achieve 99.5 degrees at egg level. (This might be why I’m regularly experiencing day 19 hatches across all breeds I incubate.)If you want to stop the auto turner before day 18, it is easy to remove the tray and unplug the turner unit’s separate power supply. I stop turning the evening of day 13 to lessen the chance of malpositioned chicks. I also add a piece of rubbery shelf liner under the eggs after I candle on day 18, in preparation for hatching. (Simply trace the egg turner tray you removed onto the shelf liner roll and cut out!) This liner keeps the chicks stable on their feet and the eggs don’t roll around as much when bumped by siblings.Cleaning the unit is easy. The top needs nothing more than to be carefully wiped with a paper towel lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol. Rubbing alcohol will disinfect and evaporate almost instantly, keeping all the electronic elements safe. The bottom base has grooves that are quickly cleaned with Q-tips. After draining the humidity water, I use a hair dryer to blow egg shell pieces out of the water trough crannies and clean everything with rubbing alcohol and Q-tips so it is disinfected for the next batch. My picky, full-scale cleaning is still completed in 15 minutes.I’ve been so pleased with this incubator that I’m already saving for a second one! Before buying, I spent several weeks researching incubators and then carefully selected the Nurture Right 360. I’m so glad I did! Increasing my flock (and the neighbor’s) has been a breeze!If you are brand new to incubating, want a no-fuss unit that is very reliable with a huge viewing window for children to observe AND wouldn’t mind chicks hatching a bit early, this is the one for you!Update February 2021: I’m using this incubator for the third hatching season and I’m still thrilled with it! I did learn the hard way that my hatch rates plummet if the incubator is near a sunny window. It seems the UV rays through the window glass and clear incubator lid affect the eggs (even blue ones) and it dropped my hatch rates to 65%. Moved the incubator across the room and hatch rates went back to 95-100%.

If you are going to use this incubator, I would recommend putting it inside of a styrofoam open box or surround it with newspaper, towels or packing material. I filled it with turkey eggs, and noticed early on that many of the eggs that were on the outer rim were not developing . I took about half of them out on day 11 figuring that they may not have been fertile. Over the next 10 days, all but three of the eggs that were on the rim stopped developing at some stage , and yet every single one of the 6 eggs that were in the middle developed completely and are ready for hatching . This tells me that heat was escaping out of the edge , and the colder air from outside of the incubator was causing the eggs on the outer circle to have inconsistent temperature. It is summer and the incubator was only 3 or 4 feet away from an air duct , which I am sure created colder outside air than I should have allowed . I am still going to give it 5 stars because it is a very well made incubator , and I will use it again , but with the mentioned recommendation of keeping it away from any air vents that can help taint the temperature, and by insulating the exterior of the incubator. I am going to hatch another batch and will update after I see the results with the differentials.Update 7/8 on DAY 26 , after my turkey poults had pipped the exterior shell, the incubator died. The healthy chicks died in their shells, as there was no heat to create humidity , nor was there any heat . I tried plugging into different outlets , etc. nothing . Surely for this money I would expect more than 26 days of use. Not to mention the $75 I paid for the eggs, and I had to drive 3 hours to get them. What a waste !

It is very easy to set up and maintain. The humidity is easy to control and the external water ports are great. The built in candler also works great, even for darker brown eggs. The temperature and humidity would quickly reach optimal levels after opening the incubator to candle eggs and remove the chicks. I had a 100% hatch rate the first time and a 98% hatch rate the second time. I had no problem with the chicks pecking into the fan. I am very pleased with this incubator.

I've owned this incubator a little over two months. The first one was received damaged. They promptly sent me another one. Everything went well with the first hatch but now the auto turner has stopped working. Not such a good investment after all.EDIT: My fault...after doing a little more research I found that just disconnecting the power will not return original settings. I manually reset the days to hatch and the turner appears to be now working. Happy customer!

I HIGHLY recommend this incubator. I’ve used 2 different incubator for 2 years prior to this one. My success rate was all over the board until this one! With the nurture right incubator I didn’t have to fiddle with the temperature or humidity nearly as much as the previous brands I’ve used. I put 22 eggs in. I candled at day 14 and had 2 quitters and 1 non fertile. And I hatched the remaining 18! The chicks seemed to hatch easier and better because the humidity is controlled better with adding water on the outside. EASY to clean afterwards compared to the styrofoam ones. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS. Would highly recommend to anyone!

This incubator is truly awesome! I have used it once since I have received it here in January. I love the 360 view for my young children, 3 and 5. We hatched out 7 out of 10 little chicks, in the middle of winter here when fertility rates aren’t great. 22 seems like it would be really crowded in there if you had 100% hatch rate. It took a long time to arrive to me in Alberta Canada but it was worth the wait. The seller communicated well but at one point I didn’t think it was going to ever come and that I was gonna be out the money. That was NOT the case. I would recommend the product and seller but I think the seller should use a different company rather than Canpar for shipping within Canada. That is the only reason why I would give a 4 star.

I did a lot of research prior to purchasing my Nurture Right Incubator and I am very happy with this purchase. Currently have some eggs on the go and temperature stays at 99.5 (checked with another thermometer for accuracy). I'm doing a dry hatch so humidity isn't something I track closely, however, humidity does go up and down which is normal and I live in a very humid climate. everything is going very well and I would highly recommend this product.

Put 22 eggs in on July 4th and 7 hatched as of July 25. Unfortunately, we put unfertilized eggs in, so they did not produce. Thats on us and not the incubator.That being said, only serious complaint is that the incubators lid is a bit tricky and doesn't fit neatly on the base always, so you have to make sure its on perfectly.Good incubator, looking forward to further hatchings.

I founds this incubator to be great, instructions where easily deciphered. Set up is simple, clean up after hatch out was easy and as it states it does everything. We’ve had multiple hatch outs of 80+% rates. The only thing I can even maybe say that was a bit challenging at first was getting the humidity to an optimal range. Requires to be in a room where you can more easily control the room temp and humidity so as not to effect the incubator.
