Is the quick release plate compatible with other plates such as the Neewer Tripod, sick and tired of buying different plates

It's an Arca Swiss compatible plate, which means it should fit to most tripods. It does fit my K&F tripod perfectly. I first tested to see if the plate that came with my tripod would fit the clip, but it doesn't. The plate that comes with the clip though, it had no problems fitting both of my tripods at all. You should be perfectly fine.

Does this come with the base plate for the camera? Or do you need to purchase this separately?

Yes it comes with the base plate attached to the clip. You just have to screw it on the bottom of your camera for the quick release ability.
