Pair this with an MR16 LED for an excellent track light at a good price
I was looking for track lights that were modestly priced and more attractive than the basic cans one normally sees in this price range. And being able to use LED bulbs was important. I bought 4 of these to illuminate a 6' countertop, including sink, and stove. And I picked up Ecosmart LED bulbs at Home Depot. The bulbs are identified as bright white MR16 GU10, light temperature 3000 K, 320 lumens, and 6 watts. Some track light cans are reported to have a problem accommodating some GU16 bulbs due to a deep socket for the bulb. These have what seems to be the shallower socket which should accommodate all MR16 GU10 bulbs including those with a short neck.Installation of the bulbs was easy. The socket is pulled out of the housing to install the bulb, then the socket/bulb assembly is reinserted in the housing. A ring clip then holds the bulb in place. These were delivered with a flat glass lens which might be desirable if you are using a bulb with a small diameter, or if you needed to block UV from the bulb. With the bulbs I used the glass was not needed, and omitting it probably keeps the bulb circuitry a bit cooler by letting air flow through. The track light heads installed easily on the track as one would expect. I only installed 3 of the 4 lights because the light was more than adequate with 3 to cover the countertop and stove, and if I had installed the 4th one I probably would have needed to wear sunglasses when doing dishes in the sink. The small size of these means they are unobtrusive when turned off, and they look really classy when turned on.The quality of construction seems better than comparably priced track lighting cans I looked at. In all respects, they have been an excellent purchase.

Good looks. easy to set up
PROs:easy to install, looking good, relatively easy adjustment/positioning of the headCONs:the bulb is sitting in unsupported (held only by a steel ring) which makes it hard to position it properly in the tight space. My solution: use bulbs no longer than 2.09 "/5.1 cm/ and preferably with anti-UV glass (that would allow you to get rid of 3mm thick UV filter provided by manufacturer thus giving you more space and better cooling).

Specified MR16 GU10 LED bulbs too long to fit.
So far I’ve not found any of the Nuvo components to be easy to fit together, but that’s OK because adversity often leads to growth. And once you’ve figured out how to fit one of these heads to a track, or a live end cord kit to a track, you’ll never forget. The deal-breaker, though, is that the required MR16 GU10 bulbs are too long to nestle properly in the housing (first photo). There’s a collar (second photo) fastened to the wiring behind the bulb’s socket that not only prevents the wiring from being inadvertently yanked out the back (a Good thing) but also prevents socket-plus-bulb from being nestle-able within the housing. I’m not brave enough to take up some hand-tool to force it down; seems to me I’d be compromising the wiring before it ever had a chance to go bad on its own.Back it goes.[Update]Decided to go ahead and twist off the pinch-collar that’s meant to keep the Y-splice in the wiring from sticking out the back of the housing — so now it *does* stick out the back (third photo) and the bulb can be nestled completely in the housing. I’m no electrician, but somehow I think it’s less than ideal to expose the splice joint this way. Note that I used two pairs of pliers, one on either side, to twist off the pinch-collar (or whatever it’s called). YMMV.So I won’t be sending the unit back and might even buy a couple more. For all I know, similar heads from other manufacturers have this problem as well.
