FAR better than other brands
My electrician wiring my new home INSISTS on buying another brand that sounds a lot like the playing field where Napoleon lost Waterloo - Amazon often deletes reviews with other brands mentioned, so I won’t.I generally use HIGH-quality outlets of the “Space Telescope” brand or Japanese-mfd ones for audio or electronic workbench use (solid copper-Beryllium, NO plating) BUT, being new construction, all outlets HAD to be safety outlets. Frankly, the ones my electrician uses are cheap and break. At least the 20A ones do.I like the overhead of 20A circuits in my office, workshop, audio rooms for a variety of reasons, but the cheaper outlets BREAK, it is difficult if not impossible to use straight-pronged NEMA-15 plugs without bending the neutral. I don’t know why this is. They just will NOT plug in directly. I’ve shown this to my electrician friend and he still used the cheaper brand until I bought a box of these and now he’s reconsidering. It’s like the old aphorism about not having the time/money to do the job right the first time but having the time/money to do it right the second (or third) time - which is fine if you’re working a government GS or union job, but really, if you absolutely HAVE to have 20A SAFETY sockets so your kids grandkids are less likely to stick pointy metallic objects into the outlets and test Darwin’s “Survival of Species” theories, Leviton makes some GREAT stuff at reasonable prices. The “Space Telescope” brand I’ve got a box of and will replace SOME of these after the final inspection is done ‘cause I don’t have kids/grandkids and DO have an IQ above room temperature.

Stabilizing tabs missing/broken off
Stabilizing tabs had been broken off so it made the job more difficult than it should have been.

Does the job
Not easy to install unless you only put the wire straight in (no snap in hole on the back, side wire only), then it's very easy. I wanted the wire wrapped around the screw all the way but that was a battle I was not going to continue after the first outlet.

When did these get so expensive in the store? Nice value for the money.

Works great.
It handles the welder I bought it for just fine, no issue.
