Very Stylist - A Great Tablet For The Right Person
Google did update the OS to Android N 7.1.1 in October 2017. Gave notification to install or not. Be prepared it takes a long time to update.Because many professional reviews I that I read online I decided on the Android model for my personal needs. While many reviews here have really good insight you still may want to read professional reviews at computer magazines online. Especially if you are considering the Windows 10 model because of the Intel® Atom™ x5 chip. The Yoga Book is simply a very good tablet and unique because of the Halo keyboard and Real Pen to digitize your notes or artwork. Very stylish and it will turn heads when people see you using the Halo keyboard. I personally love the look and comfortable feel of tablet. I got the Lenovo case too and it as well has a nice look. At its basics the tablet works great with Android, and if you have an Android phone it's an easy transition with perks. Lenovo has fine turned Android to be more useful to the student or person who does notes a lot and/or likes to doodle or is a budding artist. And then there's the tablet itself - beautiful screen resolution and very good sound. Works well streaming movies, surfacing the web, email and on social media websites. Great e-book reader for B&N users. The Real Pen is nice but like the keyboard you have to get use to using it. And if you are big on cloud use it may just be all you need. I think this is great for travel too. This tablet is not going to replace your laptop. It's not the iPad, MS Surface (both of which I have had too), or maybe even Samsung quality. But for $300 or less I would give it serious consideration. Paired with the Lenovo case this is great for student use (high school or college), or for most adults and seniors. Younger children may want to play with your tablet for the drawing feature. As long as you don't need high end tech for special software or apps it's a great everyday tablet.

Well worth the wait, but it would have been a good impulse buy as well.
I abandoned Windows when Chromebooks came out, and I am not a fan ofmthe Apple orchard at all, but I have never bought achromebook Pixel so I have never been a fa of their screens. (They do ok connected to a tv or a monitor, so I used aCjromebit for a while.Fine atnhome, but not convenient for the coffee shop.)I was really intrigued by the Yoga Book when it was announced at IFA last year, but its limited availability and somewhat high price--$400 is my usual limit for day one impulse buying--made me wait. Walmart had it, but clamped down and turned off so one could not reallyntry it. Indeed one nearby Walmart had it marked ar $199, and I was tempted not to tell them their mistake but buy it at that price. But, I pointed out their mistake. Finally, the price came down low enouvh that I felt I could try it at little risk.I lovd it. The screen is sharp, amd bright, and it can be at any angle so it is always at the right angle where ever I am viewing it. I like typing on the 'Halo" keyboard. and of course I can alsomuse the regular Google keyboard in tablet mode. (some reviewers complained about a high rate of eeror. I am leaving tbis review, which I am typing on the Halo keyboard, un-corrected sos faithful reader can judge for oneself.) I don't use the multi-screen function often, but it works quite well when I do. The task bar is so convenient and quick rhat I usually change between windows that way. I should add that I find the screen plenty ig enough for browser sites as well.I was a bit hesitant about the Atom processor, but I have been delighted to find that it is plenty snappy for Android Marshmallow. It even boots up very quickly. The thing it does not do is install firmware uodates so quickly as I have come to expect. (They have been available quicjly, though.) Each time the monthly security &tc. patch comes along, right as I am expecting it to be all done, the screen goes blaml except for the time and the back arror. Now that I expect it I do't worry that the thing has bricked.I have never used the paper writing option, nor do I expect to. I abandoned paper about the same time as Windows.Battery life is great. Twelve hours or more in my experience, with very little drain whilemit sleeps. It is of course very easy to take to the coffee shop, where it guarantees my position as the coolest kid. I had considered an iPad Pro, for which I would have had to pay more than three times as much, and wait doe iOS 11 to have the featy res tge Yoga Book has already. The biggest downside so far is that the beautiful alloy case scratches very easily. I suppose that the best way to dwal with it is not toworry but to keep it until it has a patina.

Halo keyboard breaks too easily... no worldwide guarantee
I bought this product twice (shame on me). I was very exited about the potential. Particularly interested in the Halo keyboard and the note taking capabilities. First time, after about two moths I noted a crack in the halo keyboard. Everything was still working apart from some keys. After a couple of days, the crack became bigger. I did not notice any major hit or anything that could explain the crack. I contacted Lenovo customer support in the UK and I was told that they could not help because the tablet was coming from Canada (I bought in Amazon). I contacted North America Lenovo Customer support. They could check but I was supposed to send the tablet to Canada/US without any guarantee that the tablet would have been repaired or replaced. The cost of sending it was about 1/3 of the price I had paid for it... As the rest of the tablet was working I kept it just to watch movies...Stupidly enough, I thought that I might have hit it inadvertently and bought a second one. This time, I was extra careful in handling the tablet. After about 3 months... same crack. My take is that the keyboard panel is too fragile and the frame not rigid enough. As a result, if you take the laptop when it is open from the bottom angle with your thumb in the corner, with its own weight the frame flex and the halo keyboard cracks. Pretty nasty design in my view. Not at all adapt for the use on the road. The product is not robust enough. By the way... same problem with the guarantee...Bottom line, (1) I have now two tablets to watch videos (2) Lenovo has not such a think as Global customer care...
