Supplement Tables, Appendix B FAQs
The very helpful part of this book is not only the food tables but an allergy supplement list for each type! This is my favorite part of the blood type diet - not wasting time on the wrong way of eating for me or money on the wrong supplements for my individual type. (However, all supplements can have side effects so read reviews and do your own checking to avoid any products that might have unwanted side effects.)I also like the Appendix B FAQs section of the book. It helps make better sense of things by addressing common questions such as allergy to beneficial foods (beneficial foods that are genetically modified, such as soy and peanuts, could contain an avoid lectin! And organic and non-gmo don't always go together.)Other things related to the blood type diet and this book that have worked for me - Finding out I am a non-secretor has made a positive impact as far understanding and learning to tolerate why my system is not as robust in some ways as compared to others who share my blood type and why I have to work harder to stay healthy. Also, there is great, customizable D'Adamo software available to further refine the diet for the individual, for some health conditions and for leaving out some types of foods. If you like the blood type diet but are having some issues with the more generic suggestions, getting a more individualized report might help. And for people who complain there's no science in the Blood Type Diet - a link to the science and research can be found on the D'Adamo website and sometime there's a long list of referenced science/research papers in the appendices of his books. He doesn't quote just his own research either.Needless to say, Dr. D's work has helped me a lot and I encourage everyone to try it. Not saying it's perfect and it's not always easy, but it's a good place to start.

Interesting Read
This book was especially helpful for me.I started having allergic reactions to scented products, and I still do.However, the “onset” was due to inadequate diet. Now that I make food choices better, specifically, for me the “allergic reactions” are less.I expect I will have no “sensitivities” like that as my overall health needs are are met by better dietary choices.I think eating only the same food, that and coffee, and sugar, were the culprits.I just didn’t have money for better food, and now, I make a special point of getting healthy specific food selections “highly beneficial” for me.

Similar to Blood Type book but some new info
I am a big fan of the Blood Type diet so I bought this to help with my allergies. The premise is the same in both books and there is definite overlap. This book was published after the Blood Type diet and there are slight differences in the list of acceptable foods. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase and plan to modify my diet to align with the new recommendations.

Yay for ER4YT Allergies!
The charts dealing with supplements are the most helpful to me but I love the clear organization and the explanation of why diet can affect our allergies. I know I definitely have worse symptoms when I eat gluten and dairy. Thank you for this simple and readable resource!

A Battle Plan To Combat Allergens
Blood Groups 'A', 'B' 'O', 'AB' Are Inclusive In This Book. This is a book with a 'Dietary Plan', 'Exercise Regime' and 'Nutritional Support' - (Supplements) - ' to follow, in order to combat and fight Allergies, Infections and other related conditions. The Plan is based on maintaining a healthy immune system, such as repairing the digestive tract and providing anti-inflammatory relief that can occur from consuming foods, liquids and supplements in the 'Avoid' column - whether in ignorance of the side effects or knowingly after reading one of Peter D'Adamo's books or books of a similar nature by other authors such as:'Foodergies! Eat Right With Food Families' by Laura Keiles ND.In a technical way this book puts to rest some misconceptions that may seem contradictory. For Example: Fruits:Type ‘O’s can consume "Grapefruits, Lemons, Limes' , but not Oranges. No reasons to consume or reasons not to consume is given, but, whenever the book refers to a Blood Group Type, such as Type ‘O’, the information is a general summary. For individual diagnostics one has to determine whether they are a ‘Secretor[1]’ or ‘Non-Secretor’.[2]Being a ‘Secretor’ or ’’Non-Secretor’ will determine whether Citrus Fruits should be ‘on the menu’ or ‘off the menu’.What is not clear in any of Dr Peter D'Adamo's books, is how 'Juicing' foods affects the blood group type; i.e: would a Type 'O' tolerance level be better if Oranges were 'juiced' and drunk as a concentrated liquid rather than eaten as a fruit?Juicing foods removes the pulp that is usually chewed and eaten, that may make the digestion of an Orange difficult for Type 'O's.This same can be asked of any Blood Group Types that has difficulty in giving up foods listed in the 'Avoid' column.Juicing can also give us the sufficient amount of daily dosage intake in one meal setting.'Allergies' by Dr Peter D'Adamo has an Index for you to study the dynamics of the book and tailor your studies to suit your personal needs.Thank You![1] When Chewing and Swallowing and breaking down foods for digestion, ‘Secretors’ apparently 'secrete' the saliva and other gastric juices and enzymes into the blood stream. ‘Non-Secretors’ do not, making their immune system more sensitive.Whatever substance is being swallowed, it's how it reacts to your bodily fluids that counts. Citrus Fruits are very acidic and can be very inflammable to the wrong secretions and nutritious to the right secretions.Ancestral, cultural and racial diversity also plays a part in this process as African, Asian and Caucasian individuals require different proportions of nutrients to flow into the blood stream - (apparently - and according to Dr Peter D'Adamo).[2] It all sounds a bit like the christian old testament bible’s classification of ‘clean’ and ‘unclean’ animals to eat for meat. A lot depends on whether the animals ‘chew the cud’ or not. This process was further complicated by determining whether the animal had cloven hooves or not.Thank You!
