AGRIGLE Shock- Absorption/High Impact Resistant Hybrid Dual Layer Armor Defender Full Body Protective Cover Case Compatible with iPhone 5/5S/SE(2016) (Black Red)

I bought this case to put on an old iPhone 5S that my husband and I are giving to our 4.5 year old (no SIM) to play his games and watch his videos on. The problem is our son is autistic and can be very hard on things. There were numerous times with an old 4S we had given him that he got upset when the battery died and spiked it like a football. The last time he smashed the screen (even though it had a pretty good case and glass screen protector). He's matured a bit since then but is still going to drop this from time to time and I wanted to find something that would offer some protection from falls of a few feet on our wood floor. Here's what I like about this case:-It's cute! I really like the color scheme and it will be easy to find when he loses it and to identify that it's his.-It's really easy to hold and grip, even/especially for small hands.-It plays nice with the glass screen protector I put on it (Tech Armor brand)-The corners especially seem to provide a decent amount of shock absorption from drops-All ports are easily accessible and buttons pushable-Very easy to put on and take off (too easy in my opinion)What I don't like so much:-Materials feel cheaper and less sturdy than I was expecting, even for the price. I really thought the silicone would be thicker. It's quite thin, except in the corners. In my pictures you can see how thin it is. Totally see through.-There was a big glob of silicone (see pics) on the inside back of the case that I had to scrape off so that it would lay flat-The plastic shell doesn't seem to fit over the silicon perfectly. There is nothing that snaps into place here. You just sort of push the plastic shell over the silicone and hope it stays put. I really don't feel like it's on there very securely, even after doing my best to situate it just right. Also, based on the pictures it looks like the grey bumpy part on the back of the shell is silicone (same color grey) but it's not. It's hard plastic.-The cut out for the lightening cable and speakers leaves a long thin band of silicone stretched across the bottom of the phone (see picture-circled in red). It's very thin and loose and flaps around. My son has already taken to sticking his finger in there and tugging on it. If you're one who sticks a phone in your pocket or stuffs it in a bag or purse pocket designed for a phone, something tells me this is eventually going to become a problem. I really wish that part of the case felt more secure and sturdy.In summary, while this case looks decent and will probably protect it from very minor drops, I really wouldn't recommend this for heavy duty use, at least not by a 4 year old! For the price I guess it's ok. Honestly I'm probably going to end up spending a little more and buying a case that is a little more substantial and "defensive". I've been using my iphone 5s since it was released in 2013 without any issues. I purchased a mophie case when i bought it first for extended battery life (due to traveling) resulting in many drops and spills without any damage to my 5s. 5 years of constant use of course eventually killed the life of my mophie so I needed a new case and regretfully resorted to this one. Within 1 week of use the small clip above mute switch snapped off. And a few days later after my phone fell off my lap (from about 2.5 feet, getting out of my car) the screen completely shattered WITH this "high impact" case on it. It's completely trashed and the phone (which worked completely fine despite being old) is no longer usable and I now i'm screwed.

I bought this as a Xmas present to go with an iPhone I purchased for a good friend. One tip: put the inner liner on first before you put the outer cover on, or it won't fit. It does appear to be shock absorbent. I also ordered a tempered glass screen protector separately since it doesn't include one. Color is nice and it fits the phone well. Amazon Prime shipping is terrific as always. I am pleased with this purchase.

I'm reviewing the AGRIGLE shock aborption high impact case.This is honestly one of the best cases I have found. i have constantly been buying and returning and buying and returning. This case offers anti slip features which are on the back. Protection over the beveled edges of the phone. It is just great. Rubber protection all around!I would highly suggest you give this case a try!!I hope you found these pictures and this review helpful :)

This case was the worst smelling plastic item I have ever encountered. Burning rubbber ? Acetone ? Those don’t even begin describe how gross this thing smelled. I tried washing it, no dice. Went immediately into the trash. I didn’t even bother asking for a refund, I just wanted to forget.

this cover is priced right, brightly colored, BUT colored part of cover is rubbery/flimsy, and rolls off a lot. The grey portion of the cover snaps on to hold the softer colored part of the cover in place, but already that has cracked and broken off. I think this cover is adequate for someone who does not carry their phone with them in a purse or a pocket where it gets minimal use. I almost never drop my phone, maybe once in the past several months, and then only from my lap to a carpeted floor. so buy accordingly

I have had this case for little bit over seven months. For the first three months is was pretty great, I had dropped my phone in carpeted areas, hard wood floor, etc. and it didn't ever seem to break. But in the fourth month the case started deteriorating. Peices of plastic from both sides of the case fell off. The actual rubber part under the plastic ripped, and now the case fits weird and unevenly for some reason. The rubber intself is flimsy and the plastic is cheap. The gray plastic back is stained weird tints from setting it down. Also earlier in the summer i dropped it on the concrete by accident, not expecting anything from it because it had always held up pretty well, but my entire screen was shattered. And there is about 1/4 of an inch of extra case now that the phone isnt taking up. (very strange) In conclusion, if you are looking a short term somewhat protective case than Its an ok case but wouldn't necessarily recommend this to you.

I actually accidentally purchased this case thinking it fit my husband's phone and it didn't unfortunately. i didn't realize this until the 30 days to return had passed. Although we didn't get to use it, it seems pretty durable and will do the job....for the right phone.
