Great for small, relatively unnoticeable areas...
The title says it all.I used this product on my dark walnut finished oak floors, and it works great for small imperfections. Where my floor is concerned there are a bunch of very minor issues, but there are also a couple of areas that require(d) a good bit more filler--something this product isn't very good for unless you have a lot of time and patience to finesse your patch job.More specifically, a couple of my 4" floor planks have depth/cracking within the grain pattern of the wood--to the point of creating a rough surface that I started to notice my socks were catching on. Worried that leaving these areas "as is" would inevitably lead to splintering and/or further damage, I attempted to patch them using this product.Well, the first worked well because I only filled/patched within the deepest area of the imperfection that easily maintained the darker/grained area of the wood plank. The second was a relative disaster as it was both a larger imperfection AND I attempted to fill/patch the entire area to bring level it out with the surrounding floor. The result was an ugly, obviously patched area that was an eyesore even after sanding and using my floor-matched stain pen.So...I got creative and used a letter opener to pattern the patched area like the surrounding patterns in the plank/floor. I also used another color stain pen to vary the color to better match the highlights of the floor as the dark walnut created a "dark only" patch. To be clear, I no longer have as smooth a surface as I was going for given that I gouged through the patch in multiple places-from the edge inward--down to the original wood. BUT, the result is MUCH better and blends better with the surrounding floor. One other bit of advice I can offer is to tape around the area you want to patch, so that when you lightly sand the patched area you don't mar the finish of the surrounding flooring. You'll inevitably have to remove the taping to get the smoothest finish, but you can go very lightly to protect the surrounding, finished areas (as much on the patched area and not the surround floor as possible).BOTTOM LINE: Works well for small, easily unnoticeable flooring areas, but doesn't work well for larger, easily noticeable areas. If you still choose to try it on larger areas, expect to put in a great deal of extra work to match and blend the patched area with the rest of your floor.

Just got done cleaning up after not doing much of anything.
I have just minute gaps in a wall display and border, with a few spots needing a little more than the tiny bead I would be splaying IF I HAD AN F'N APPLICATOR SPOUT. If someone asked me what's the best finish product of any kind, I would say anything that's easy to apply, dries quickly, wipes spills easily, and cleans up at the sink with a bar of soap. For me since '95 when I shiplapped my bedroom ceiling down with my new discovery -- V A R A T H A N E -- over white pine, it's been requited love. No dulling or color change. Anyway, I've used several products since and this is the only time I've had a gripe. And i guess I'll be trying each plastic screwoff cap I come aross to see, you know....

I'd have done better to go get saw dust and apply with superglue
I wish there were negative stars. This stuff is horrific. Color continues to come off weeks after applying.. dusty pieces break off. I'd have done better to go get saw dust and apply with superglue! Save your money. This product is absolutely worse than worthless! Had to pry it up to put down GOOD filler. Still mopping floor trying to remove the residual junk from surrounding area!

Ordered Golden Oak and received Walnut instead
I ordered this filler to use on a table too that I was staining this week..I planned on using a oak colored stain so I figured I would go with a oak colored filler..However when I received my order the wood filler was clearly labeled walnut and was much darker than I wanted..I went ahead and used the darker puffy and tried a darker stain. The results were not good as I kind of expected..I plan on stripping the table and starting over now..I will not be buying my filler from Amazon though.

Great product
Absolutely phenomenal product; my only thought is that it is darker than one would think was dark walnut, but it holds up very well and has been immensely helpful in restoring some antiques and fine furniture. 10/10 would buy this product and other color variations.

Unexpectedly unworkable relative to most.
I expect this brand to deliver, no muss / no fuss. But this is not like most putty - rather a bit loose despite plenty of mashing, yet a bit tacky (doesnt stay where put like other putties even from same brand), and once set long and hard (days) unfortunately doesnt hold up to a light sponge. Oh, and the color is lighter than marketed, then dries with an artificial candy- or plastic-like tone. So, this was unexpected. (Other products just work, so I rarely review - that’s on me). Just food for thought on this particular product from the brand.

Color was misleading
I only gave this three stars because it was impossible to match the color to the product I wanted to use it for. When I used it, it was too dark but since it was a small area, it worked - wished it could have been on a color chart of some kind
