Good quality Genie part. Easy to replace and perfect fit. Garage door now works and is SO much quieter. Saved me $$$ on a service call. I liked that it included the lube and it was convenient but I could have used more.

Garage door has been noisy for at least ten years despite all my lubing attempts. Then the opener would stop moving after the first foot especially on cold mornings. After attempts to lube the opener rails with limited success I finally decided to try this part before I just replaced the whole opener.Install took less than 10 minutes and that included cleaning all the grease from my repair attempts off the track. The new part works great and completely resolved the sticky opener. But the totally unexpected but best part was that the garage door was suddenly almost completely silent. Who knew that this plastic piece was somehow causing so much noise.

I bought this for my older Genie opener and it was a perfect fit. I spent a few dollars more to buy the genuine Genie brand in hopes that it lasts longer than the knock-offs. I also bought the kit with the grease. The teeth are metal so should last a long time. The whole thing felt very solid.The installation literally took 15 minutes, and that includes getting out pliers, a ratchet and socket, and my step stool (then putting them away).1. Release emergency pull thingy2. Remove cotter pin3. Pull out pin that holds bar to carriage4. Remove bolt from end of track5. Remove old carriage6. Install new carriage7. Put parts back together8. Wipe old grease, apply new greaseI then ran the carriage up and down without the door to make sure it worked. Then re-engaged the emergency release and it worked like a charm. The door is a bit quieter now as well.

The media could not be loaded. Old one was broke, grinding noise or too loud during open and close action, also door would skip time to time, was scary.This part straight came from Genie as I ordered on Amazon, local garage door repair companies asked for $300 to replace this.Took me 10 minutes including cleaning my hands after swapping bad one with this new one.Easy peasy lemon squeeze, affordable and original part direct from manufacturer, and it came with genuine Genie garage door grease as well. It is smoother, quieter and rolls up and down securely.

Garage opened made horrible vibrating racket when in use. This new part works perfectly, and I think cleaning the screw and track per the instructions and adding the new lube made much of the difference

The replacement screw drive assembly for my Genie garage door opener was easy to install and the instructions were very clear. My only problem was the tube of lube had a large air bubble in it so there was not enough lube to apply to the full screw length as the directions called for. I paid more for this combo, drive assembly and lube, than I could have paid for the drive alone so I feel I didn't get everything I paid for. I would have to pay over $16 for a three-pack of this lube on Amazon and neither Home Depot nor Lowe's carry this in my area.

There were what appeared to be listings for the same factory original part for less $ on Amazon, but some reviews indicated they were aftermarket or Genie knock-offs. It was worth paying a bit more ($5+-) for a genuine part. It was identical to the Genie part it replaced, and a tube of Genie labeled lithium grease was included.Note: If the screw gear in this wears out frequently, check your overhead door springs. If you have a broken spring the door may still open, but it puts excessive force/wear on this part, as it's pulling much more weight. Also, old/weak springs or undersized springs will also cause excessive wear. With good springs, I've had these last around 10 years.
