Lowepro 13x32cm Lens case for 300 f2.8
I had been looking for a good, protective, yet compact and conveient soft lens case for my Nikon 300 f2.8 for the past few years. One thing about a big 300 f2.8 lens is that if you pack it away in a hard case or any case that is not easy to grab and/or pack into your daypack, or back seat, you often find yourself leaving it at home in the equipment closet. While this soft case is clearly noted for use with a 300 f2.8, my calculations were coming up too small, but I ordered it anyway and figured I'd see how my lens fit. I wanted it to fit with the big lens hood, and leatherete cover, and was not sure if it would work, especially with the tripod foot. Lowpro had obviously, as usual, done the homework and R&D for this case. The big f2.8 lens fits like a glove and yes, with the hood and cover attached. Just put the lens in with the tripod foot lined up with one of the back square corners, and it all slides in nice and snug. Great padding, grab handle, and shoulder strap, that makes this the ideal lens case for most 300 f2.8 lenses. Now, this lens goes with me on any outing that I might even possibly use it. Grab it and go, lens is out and on the camera body in a minute, and packs back up just as fast. Easier to store at home or the office, and will more easily fit in a safe if you have one. Great lens case.

Very Nice GC3/Launch Pro Carrying Case
I bought this after reading a review on the golf simulator forums. I wanted a carrying case for my Foresight GC3 launch monitor that didn't cost close to 200 dollars. If you are here for that, I would recommend this. I bought a used one and couldn't tell that it was anything but brand new.Only downside is that the strap could be a little higher quality, and in a perfect world, it would be 5% bigger for my use (not going to dock a star when not using for its intended purpose). The GC3 fits very well, but it is perhaps a bit snug. The shape (sort of a half circle) is perfect. I was able to also put the alignment stick in the case (folded), but the power chord will not fit. Serves my needs and didn't break the bank.

I'm using this for a Nikon 200 to 500 F5.6
The lens fits perfect and feel that it's protected while I'm on a trail or out birding. The lens is a little heavy and the shoulder strap helps on long walks.

Fair Protection for Your Lens
I bought this case to replace the ridiculously ineffective case that my Tamron 150-600mm came with. The case is sturdy and padded enough so that if anything bangs into it I feel secure that the lens will not be damaged. However, I don't think it has enough padding to fully protect it if it should be dropped from over 4 feet. There is no lock on the zipper, but even if it did there would be no stopping a thief if they decided to just grab the case and run. The material is heavy duty nylon with dense 1/2" (I measured) foam padding all around. My lens fits in even with the rail for the gimbol attached. Several straps are included in different configurations to carry it over the shoulder, to help attach it to another bag or to a belt, although the size of this case would make that really awkward.

Bad Fitment
As far as sturdiness and quality go, this case is A+. I own a couple other Lowpro lens cases, and they have performed and held up well over the years. There is adequate padding all round to instill confidence when storing or moving around with your lenses. The one negative in my instance is the fitment. I purchased this case for a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 300mm F2.8G ED VR II, thinking the large case size would fit this lens. It's a struggle to get the Nikkor in or out of the case with the hood attached in the reverse position. It would fit without the hood attached, but you don't want to carry the hood separately. Also, struggling with the lens like that could ultimately damage the lens. Plus, quick/ready access to the lens was out of the question; it was that tight. So, no real negatives to the case. If you have a lens that fits, this is a good choice. It just didn't work out for me.

Plenty of room for lens with tripod mount and lens hood
I was looking for an alternative to the case that comes with the lens. That one is like wrapping a piece of plastic around your lens; not really protective other than the bottom which is thicker. This Lowepro case has plenty of room for my new Tamron 150-600 G2 lens with the tripod mount attached and the lens hood attached (reversed of course). Cost is a bit higher than another brand I was looking at, but I believe this one is better suited to the size and bulk of the lens. Anyone try to tell you this Tamron lens does not need a sturdy case, they must never take it outside their dwelling or travel with it. I'm looking at a 2600 mile trip carrying this lens for distance shooting during my travels.

Great case for the Nikon 200-500
Was looking for a decent case for my new Nikon 200-500mm lens. I wanted something that was very well padded since I would probably be using the case as the primary carrying and storage case for the lens, and I also wanted something I could hang across my back. I’m a sports photographer who doesn’t like to carry a ton of gear while shooting. I usually just have two camera bodies, a 24-70 zoom and a 700-200 zoom plus this lens. This was perfect. It holds the lens snugly, the strap is long enough and seems durable enough to wear this across my back while I’m shooting, plus I have the option of hanging the lens off of a belt using the velcro loop if I want to. I’ve also found the mesh pocket on the inside of the lid very useful for lens caps, spare compact flash cards or batteries. This is a great case for the Nikon 200-500. If you have one, don’t hesitate to get this!
