GlowShift Tinted 7 Color 1500 F Pyrometer EGT Gauge

Purchased the Glowshift brand as I’ve heard it’s reputable and good quality for the price. Unfortunately one week into service and the probe sensor has shorted out already. Disappointed.

Works as it should ,seems to be good quality and was a good price .

This was installed in 2014 Chevy Cruze diesel that also has 3 factory EGT sensors. Using the Torque app on my phone I am able to watch the readout on all 3. The factory sensors are quick to respond to temp changes and all are withing ~50°F of each other. The Glowshift is in the exhaust manifold and always reads at least 100°F colder than any other sensor, usually closer to 150°F colder. Plus, it is incredibly slow to respond to temp changes. Using a calibrated Fluke pyrometer I get results very similar to the factory three.

Like other reviewers, I ordered this gauge based on a color that would match the rest of my dash lights shown capable on the box. Much to my dismay, that color isn't even selectable. On the color change mode where the gauge cycles thru all the colors it shows up, but unfortunately there's no way to stop the color change mode on a desired color. Also doesn't come with the needed drill bits to drill and tap the hole needed for the probe.If not for those two things, this would be 5 star item. Works great and let's me know when im overworking my turbo.

I put the three guage pillar set up in my 2009 Duramax. I installed the EGT, Boost, and Transmission temp gauges. I tow a 40' 5th wheel and I want to know what's going on. They look great in the dark, very clear and easy to read, which I like.Seem to be accurate, the rise and fall nicely and don't jump around at all. I bought the gauges individually rather than in a set in case one of them was bad out of the box. I didn't want to get them installed and have to pull them all out to return the set for the sake of one gauge. If you are installing the transmission temp gauge on the Allison transmission you have to buy the adapter. I didn't know that until I watched a Glowshift Youtube video on the installation, and it shows it there. Held me up a little bit but oh well, it was worth it in the end.
