Peerless Claymore Single-Handle Tub and Shower Faucet Trim Kit with Single-Spray Shower Head, Brushed Nickel PTT188790-BN (Valve Not Included)

I purchased this set to update the chrome builder grade fixtures in my new house. The plumbing is all brand new, so I only wanted to purchase a nice looking trim kit and needed it to be compatible with Delta as my existing valve is a Delta model. Unfortunately, trim kits (other than the basic chrome) are very difficult to find! So, I settled on this Peerless Claymore open box set through Amazon Warehouse for a fraction of the cost of a brand new set. Got all the trim pieces installed but left the handle for last. That's when I realized there was no handle in the box! It was missing. I could not complete the installation! Contacted Amazon customer service who directed me to Delta (the manufacturer of Peerless). After a very long phone call, it was concluded I would need to pay $25 to Delta for the missing part. Contacted Amazon again. They were great to work with and gave me a partial refund to cover the cost of the missing handle. Ordered the handle. Once it finally arrived, install was a breeze. The end result looks fabulous. Shower head has some sort of flow restrictor inside, so it's not as powerful as I'd like it to be. The shower arm is also very short but I plan to replace it down the road with a much longer and taller one. But this is for the guest bath, so I'm not too fussy about it right now. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

This is a well-built set, with good finish. All the parts have nice heft to them and the instructions are clear. The only caveat I have is that it is designed to mount to a Peerless valve base with a proprietary housing, and this part is not included. The instructions also do not list the model number of this part. Perhaps Peerless only makes one kind? I will update this review with that information when I get it. Still a good value, just be aware that you will need additional parts if you are using this for new construction instead of replacing a previous Peerless installation.UPDATEThe Peerless customer support guy (who was very helpful) told me that the most common valve body for this faucet is the Delta R10000 series. The uncomplicated, medium-depth UNBX is the cheapest of these at 30 dollars or so. That means overall this is actually about a 90 dollar faucet if you are using it to build a shower from nothing- still cheaper than many comparable models. More updates after installation.UPDATE 2Installed this over the weekend as a shower-only setup. Calibrating the water mix is easy; most people will want to bias it more toward hot than the default (this is managed in the cartridge and is not well documented, you basically lift out a control ring and turn it along a guide on the side of the cartridge). The shower head is very broad and gives great coverage. If you use the valve body I recommended in the setup I built you will need to cap the faucet out, but Delta also makes shower-only valve bodies (they seem to be less common and slightly more expensive).Note that to facilitate easy end-user installation, the shower head stem is a little narrower than the gauge of pipe it must be screwed into, so you will need to tape it pretty heavily. I recommend AGAINST wrench-tightening since it is a very light, soft metal, and if you strip it you will have to replace it from another kit. The seal between the head and stem is snug and was water-tight first time, but of course you can mess with that any time you want anyway.

This was a great upgrade to match the oil rubbed bronze faucet I put in to replace the builder grade satin nickel fixtures. Very nice and easy to install. The original trim was peerless as well do I didn’t need to change out the valve which was a huge plus. From my understanding Peerless is a plug in play match with delta as well as I believe come from same manufacturing.

Had to send it back it didn’t fit

This is a really nice set but the plumber couldn't use the water spout because we were replacing a Delta set. We had to buy another spout that cost $70.00. I would have exchanged the entire set but I bought this when we started updating our house to sell but it was past the 30 days. Make sure you know what you need before getting this.

The water pressure is not as great coming out of the shower head, but this set looks and feels great. Unfortunately, I had to purchase a different cartridge to fit mine; which was an additional 40 bucks. This due to my old set being 2006 and before.

I bought it to replace an old Peerless bath set I had. It fit perfectly and it looks gorgeous. The manual has a mistake in that it shows a hole to the side of the handle. But there is no hole. Amazon was nice enough to send me another one, We found a way to mount it and looks/works perfect. I couldn't find this in the stores, so it worked great for me.

I was disappointed in this product I both it for my bathroom. I opened the box up several moths after purchasing it.I took it out of the box only to find out that the metal it was make out felt like tin. The product only looks good and so I could not use it on my project. It was too late to send it back and so I lost money and time and have a product I can't use.

The color is awesome, temperature control is easy to read and use. Peerless is brand by Delta and compares equals. Had to get a plumber to install, and a Delta valve was needed, be ready to have a hole cut into your wall if you don't have a Delta valve all ready in place, so that is why it's a low easy to install rating. Good value just the same. Would buy again.

they dont come with the shower valve body. Looks great..Note you can use a delta mutlichoice valve body R10000-unbx

Love them but missing a most important part

C’est pour changer un kit existant! Il ne vient pas avec la valve, donc le prix devient beaucoup moins avantageux.Niveau look, c’est parfait! Vraiment beau!
