A great book everyone should own--even non-lovers. I guarantee you will learn--as I am doing!

This is one of two books I bought on avocadoes in an effort to learn to tolerate them. They have done more than that! I am now a lover! There are at least 5 recipes for smoothies, one for Chicken Chilli with Avocado (which I will dig in to tonight) Also, since I am endeavoring to eat at least one whole avocado a day (recommended by my doctor), I have observed a very nice weight loss this morning. My breakfast has been a smoothie with almond milk, a scoop of powder, half an avocado and 2 tbl of wheatgerm. I may even get healthy! This book uses metric measurements and I could do without that but will learn that too. I hope to purchase other Andrea Silver books. This one has a nice selection of a variety of avocado recipes. I heartily recommend it. I am still searching for a way to root a seed. I had a gorgeous plant 10 years ago by merely putting the seed in water. Haven't been so lucky lately. If I find a way, I may end up with avocado plants all over my house!.

Where did it say this was a British book?

Maybe I didn't look carefully, but I didn't realize this is a British cookbook. None of the recipes look like their worth translating metric numbers into English numbers, but the combinations of different foods might be helpful.
