Effective at doing its job
In an area frequented by heavy rain, I found the humidity at home to be annoying. After looking through Amazon to purchase a dehumidifier, I came across this one specifically. I was looking for a dehumidifier that can hold enough water and covers a decent area, like, for example, my living room. I believe this dehumidifier's tank holds around one gallon and a bit more. On non-rainy days, I only have to empty it once daily. On rainy days, twice. The design is compact. The sides have "pushable plastics" that allow one to carry the device if you do not want to use the wheels, which roll without problems. The screen to turn the device on and change its settings is a nice touch. Plus, the white aesthetic matches well with black or white furniture for a modern home. I have yet to clean the filter. The most important question: has it lowered the humidity in my home? Yes, yes it has. Do I use the app? I have it on my phone, but I barely touch it. Whenever I need to empty it is when I will fiddle with the settings through the device's screen. Overall, I am quite happy with this purchase, despite the cost.

Works well. Fills fast! Integrates with my home automation
This is a good looking unit. The blower noise is a little higher than I would like, but it works well. Its interesting to watch the humidity levels in the house drop pretty quickly as measured by my ecobee thermostat. Takes it from 65 to 70% down to 45 or 50 in a couple hours (2300 sq feet). Biggest problem I have is that the container fills up quickly for our moist house. Has to be emptied every 6 to 8 hours when humidity is up. But, really, that's a good thing, and if it bothered me, I could set up a continuous drain, as it designed for that. Also, nice that I can run it remotely from smartlife to start it going before I get home. Overall, pretty happy with this device.

Works great
Upon delivery which was fairly quick I let it stand for a full day before connecting power to the unit. Set the WiFi up and set the humidity level to 40%. Wow it filled the tank up in 3 hours of operation, fills up and turns off just about every three hours. After running the unit nonstop for 3 days stopping only to dump the tank, then connected a 1/2” id hose to the nipple and ran the hose to a bathtub drain. It’s gravity feed so I elevated the unit above the tub, it been running nonstop for 6 days moving a constant flow of water. It’s a little louder than I was expecting even in sleep mode with the fan on low. I’m gone for months at a time and do like the fact that if the power shuts down for whatever reason the unit will return to the pre set setting when power is restored.Want be able to fairly rate the energy usage until I shut the house down to only this unit and one freezer using power. All in all I’m very pleased with this product.

Works well
I like the dehumidifier. You can operate it from an app. You can change the settings. It even helps you dry clothes if you hang out your clothes. I live in an apartment that is at least partially underground, so there's a lot of moisture. I use the dehumidifier to prevent damage to my stuff and keep the humidity at an optimal level. I dump the bucket roughly once or twice a day. If I leave it overnight, usually on a high setting it will fill up overnight. It is a bit noisy on the high setting. I have to turn it off for phone calls. But the lower settings aren't that noisy. The one thing I hate the most about this is that I can never remember the name of the app. The name has nothing to do with a dehumidifier. So I have to try and remember what it is every time. In my opinion, if they want to run the thing from a nap, they should have a dedicated app that is easy to find.

Great until it stops working!
I bought this item 6 months ago and it was doing great, sucking the moisture right out of the air in my damp basement. Unfortunately about 5 months into use the compressor wouldn't turn on... just the fan. I tried everything but it wouldn't engage to dehumidify. I called customer service and they instructed me to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer of course didn't respond. Amazon is only giving me the 80% of my original purchase amount and it appears I get to pay for shipping to. I guess it's just another lesson I learn today, be careful with buying things from china or other countries with no enforcement to honor warranties. Sometimes its better just to pay a little more and get a product you can get help with if something goes wrong.

Buy for effectiveness not low noise
Cold air in south Florida is very moist at 80 to 90% humidity. I needed a strong unit, not a small quite unit that could only go down to 65%. As far as the low speed fan noise, it is more like a white noise machine than an actual fan noise. As far as effectiveness and control via the Smart Life app its great. I even bought a WiFi weather station to set up perfect automation for the on and off. It takes some testing to see how your home environment controls the weather station and the dehumidifier's on button control inside the smart life app also turns the device off. But I was able to do a turn on at over 58% and turn off at under 49% using the readouts from the weather station device instead of the dehumidifier. So far, it works fast and does generate a little heat for the room, but very little. Worth the investment.

Good Overall But No After Purchase Support
This seems to be a good unit overall. If you have used the Smart Life app before you will find it very easy to add to your Wi-Fi. It has typical features you would expect from a dehumidifier. The only thing I do not like about this unit so far is you cannot change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit. May seem like a small thing to some which is fine but it is a little bit annoying if you are monitoring the device from another location like we do.

Unit runs but the dehydrator does not engage!
Disappointed but Returned it to Amazon, for a replacement unit, price was too good, to not give it another go!Will give update and maybe better rating, if dehydrator works, on the replacement unit!Received by replacement unit on 7/1. This unit is outstanding, it brought down the humidity in the craft room to about 32% from 55%. We live in Florida, and at 50% humidity some of the paper for crafts begin to curl.Very happy with this unit, glad I went for replacement VS money back and look for another unit that cost more money!
