Having this mattress for almost a year, I have had zero issues. Im a stomach / side sleeper and its the perfect level of firm for comfort. Amazing value for the price! Easy to unpack and move during transport

As we age, nothing is going to make all the aches and pains go away. For the past seven years or so we have been sleeping on a Tuft & Needle mattress. While we liked that mattress, we had come to realize it was a bit too hard in the initial inch or two of compression to avoid causing increased pain in my hips and shoulders. Moving into a new home necessitated buying two new mattresses and, based on the recommendation of our daughter and son-in-law, we decided to try the ZINUS and see if it would better meet our needs. We found a sale and purchased two queen size mattresses at a very good price. We have not been disappointed. The ZINUS mattress we're sleeping on (the identical mattress in the guest room hasn't been slept on yet) is extremely comfortable. It often takes both of us a while to get used to a new mattress, but we were happy after the very first night's sleep. The mattress provides good support for my back while having enough "give" in the first couple of inches to ease the pressure on (and therefore pain in) my hips and shoulders. We are extremely happy with this decision.

The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that these mattresses are next to impossible to return. This is my first memory foam and it’s not the perfect mattress for me. But it’s not like I can return it. That being said, it’s good enough. But I wish for the price it was perfect. I got the 12 inch. It’s a pretty firm mattress. I’d like a little softer mattress. You don’t sink into this at all so if you like firm, this is for you. I do not wake up with any bank pain though. Probably a hybrid would have been a better choice for me. But I still like it.As for the cooling effect…it does not necessarily feel cool to me. But it’s definitely not hot or warm so I’d say it does the job. The feel of the fabric is nice. And it expanded immediately and fast.For those liking a firm mattress I would say this is top choice. I just didn’t know what I liked but that is not the manufacturers fault and it’s still a lovely bed. Just wish there was an easy exchange policy. But that’s the price you pay for a bed in a box verses an expensive store. I definitely would still recommend this bed.Also to the manufacturer, there was a dead baby ring neck snake in the plastic. Interesting. Kind of gross. Wasn’t touching the mattress thankfully. It was an interesting surprise. But you might want to check your warehouse lol.

Comfortable bed for a great price! In 2020, I bought my first "bed in a box", the ZINUS Queen 12 Inch Green Tea Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress, medium firm, and was pleasantly surprised how truly comfortable it is, although, despite the "cooling gel", I believe the bed sleeps hot. I remedied this with a cooling mattress pad, which, helped tremendously. Wanting to upgrade to a King mattress, I did my research again with ZINUS. I was very hesitate as it did not have the medium firm that I fell in love with the Queen. After much debate and reading the reviews, I purchased the ZINUS King 12" Cooling Gel MEDIUM mattress, although, not quite as firm as I would like, it is still very comfortable and I have slept well in the past 2 weeks that I have owned the mattress. Immediately, I also purchased a cooling mattress pad as I know it would probably also sleep a little warm being a foam mattress. Overall, I think these past 2 purchases are comfortable, inexpensive and provide great sleep each night. In addition, I had no issues whatsoever with the smell or waiting 72 hrs for the mattress to regain its full shape, which it did.

I have purchased multiple Zinus mattresses and have no complaints about any. They are comfortable, reasonably priced, and if you want it softer (depending on your preference) just purchase a gel pillowtop. It's still less than going to a mattress store, and they're delivered in a compact box.
