encourages musical discovery
Do I really need other keys?... most definitely!Every day I find something new musically because I can compare songs on each harp. That's the real benefit to the 3-pack, you can really get interesting insights into playing songs and music choices. The real question is whether to try with cheaper harps first?... That's a matter of preference, but I have NO regrets going with the Special 20 pack (G,C,A).Like most, I started with the key of C (hohner Hot Metal) which got me hooked. After reading reviews, I got a Special 20 in C and the difference was noticeable - clearer tone, much easier to bend, but also a bit more difficult because subtle shifts will change tone (which soon becomes an advantage.) By the way, the special 20's definitely have more vibrato on the 1-3 holes... I have 4 and they are consistent in this -- the nice thing is that you can control it through the air pressure you provideI'm not a musician but enjoy playing music as I feel like it. I try a range of songs from folk, blues, pop, classical as well as improv. Many songs "sort of" work but there's often a note or three that just seems off (diatonic harps are necessarily limited). Out of curiosity, if I look up the song online (title + "key") I find that the songs with "off" notes are usually in a different key.So when I went to get a back-up special 20 I considered whether to get the 3 pack (I was certain I wanted C, but really debated how much I would use the others...)Very glad I did. Given my experience was only with a C (and most of the songs I had learned) the other keys initially sounded odd. With experimenting I found some "C" songs become more interesting played in A or G (not to mention "cross harp" tunings). And obviously songs in A or G are much easier. The sound quality of the special 20's makes experimenting fun.Now I have a hard time deciding which of these 3 keys I enjoy most... and whether I want to try even more keys (oh yeah)

Beautiful instrument
For personal use, learning the harmonica, but many musicians prefer the Special 20 as well. A reasonably priced, high quality, durable harmonica. Air tight, sweet sound. I’ve heard it’s sound compared to the more expensive Crossover, and honestly the quality seems comparable. It’s very comfortable to play, too. I ordered the bundle of Keys of C, G and A. I have a Golden Melody Key of C as well, which Is excellent. I have been happy with Hohner products.

Awesome. Beginner to Advanced Players.
I love these harps. I'm a beginner to intermediate player on harp (used to basics in first position), and an intermediate to advanced guitar player. I've wanted to combine the two, and these have done the trick. The A harp is great for accompanying second position for blues in E on the guitar, and the C is perfect for my rendition of Piano Man. The G is just an awesome low chord harp on its own right. They're easy to bend or play straight. I was skeptical about the plastic comb, but not after playing them. Be sure to take the time to break them in before bending notes. I followed advice on a couple of YouTube videos and took about 3 days to break them in before I really laid into them. They may not fully need that, but I felt it was worthwhile to make them last a longer time - especially in the upper register. These will last me a long time, and will make me sound professional on stage for years to come without breaking the bank. Pro players may be able to tell the difference between these and $100+ harps, but my audiences won't!

This Is a Great Value: Three For the Price of Two!
This was an awesome deal. I needed to replace my key of A Hohner Special 20. Separately, they average about $55.00 a piece now. I got three keys, A, C, and G for about $113.00, which means I got three for the price of two, all brand new and in their box. This is a great value for all of you harmonica players out there.

Not sure what's so special about this Hohner Special 20. Feels like budgeted Fender.
The quality made is night and day when comparing this Hohner Special 20 with my Suzuki HA 20. Suzuki HA 20 is heavier, felt quality made and even a better plastic than this Hohner. I took it out of the box, they felt like kid toys. They sounds the C sounded almost like Suzuki. Suzuki is easier to play in term of ease to blow and more accurate. The quality of Hohner is roughly similar with with Lee Oskar built quality. Overall, not my favorite brand. This isn't feel like a $45 harmonica. It feels like a budget Fender Blues sets. I still stick with Suzuki from now on and might try Seydel 1847.
