I'm pretty sure it will if you don't use a non slip pad. There is no type of non skid on the back of this rug. Hope this helps.

Yesss!! And Nooo!! It depends solely on amount of water you’ll need it to absorb?! Absolutely it can get wet and even be effective for a single person shower use.. however, bc it’s thinner without any rubberized backing or water barrier- if multiple peep showered in a row.. this poses a problem with it ability to absorb that much water without drying in between!! Sorry for the yes/no answer..!! i’d also recommend after use, if overly saturated then, hang over edge of shower/tub to help speed up/thoroughly dry to avoid mildew.. I love ours but, use in front of sink just bc of above reasons. good luck-
