One of the worst written textbooks ever created
The title is no exaggeration. I've had many textbooks over my life, and none has been this badly written. What should be an enjoyable, informative course on payroll accounting has turned into a nightmare because of this textbook. The authors directly contradict themselves at least a few times in each chapter, sometimes directly within the same paragraph. Then there's incorrect information that goes against what the IRS says. For example, the authors say that the employer can choose to not withhold federal income tax when employees use a company car for personal use. WRONG! All other courses and the IRS website say otherwise!Other terrible things about this book: very badly organized; long, rambling sentences with terrible grammatical structure' bad examples that assume the reader can read the authors' minds; tiny print on examples and important charts... must I continue?I spend what seems like 90% of my time just trying to understand the authors. The authors, the editor, and the publisher have completely failed with this textbook. If you want to learn payroll accounting, I recommend steering away from this sorry excuse of a textbook. If your class requires it, you should get supplementary resources because this one will lead you astray! AVOID.

Terrible book
Poorly written and long winded. I am pretty sure my Professor doesn't even understand book due to how poorly it is put together.
