Yes it can. It will act as a stabilizer and you can set up a panic switch on your radio.

Can this be used with other manufacture aircrafts & spektrum rx? In addition do I have to use the templates or can I manually make my own gains?

It will work fine with a spektrum transmitter and you can adjust the gains on the receiver. You have three options for “safe” selection.

Will this work with an Frsky X8R reciever?

Yes but You would need a compatable reciever for your transmitter. It comes with jumpers for 4 channels
