EBL 9 Volt Rechargeable Batteries Lithium ion 9V 600mAh Li-ion Batteries (4-Packs)

I ordered a 4-pack 600mAh 9V EBL battery and upon receiving them I tested their actual capacity by charging them with a lab power supply at max 300mA (0.5C) and 8.4V and then discharging them at ~0.3C with a passive 41 Ohm resistance while coulomb-counting with a calibrated multimeter.3 of the 4 batteries are measured to have capacities between 545 and 553 mAh, close enough to the rated capacity so were acceptable. But one battery didn't charge properly, never reached the 8.4V (4.2V per cell) voltage level for proper li-ion charging protocol. The protection circuit in the battery just disconnected it at around 8.2V. I'm guessing that this was due to two cells in the battery being very unbalanced. As expected, that battery didn't hold much energy only 370mAh.I returned it and bought a new pack which turned out to be good with all batteries having around 550mAh capacity.I'm lucky to have the equipment and time to measure the actual capacity and returning the item was not an issue for me. But looks like these batteries are suffering from poor QA, so you need to make sure what you receive is not defective.

Update: These batteries are great, and the customer service behind this product is amazing. Initially I thought I had a bad batch, my charger didn't charge them, but customer service and product warranty stepped up and replaced the faulty charger immediately. Carbon monoxide detector is going strong with this battery. Plus I have an extra battery so I can rotate them every few months to maintain a charge and not have them beep at me when they're low battery.Original: The 9V batteries don't appear to be charging my EBL 906 smart charger. No troubles with AA, AAA, C, or D. But the smoke alarm has gone through 2 in the past 2 weeks I'm assuming they have a small factory charge so they lasted this long. I really don't want to have to spend another $27.99 for a 9v charger when the EBL charger I have said it will charge 9v.

It's been over a year and so far they are working great in my volt meters!None have leaked, and actually I think the only one that went dead is when I left the volt meter on for a week..(I switched to these for volt meters because I was tired of volt meters being damaged by leaky batteries.)(I use enloop AA and AAA in other test equipment for the same reason.)I really don't know or care how many mAh they have exactly - they last a long time in a volt meter and they don't seem to leak, so I'm happy.

I ordered the 4-pack about 15 months ago. Went to use one today and found it completely dead. Decided to see what was inside. One of the LiPO packs inside had a corroded terminal. Looks like there is a circuit of some sort inside. See another reviewer's note about the HY2120-CB charge controller and battery balancing for more info.Update: I have been contacted by customer service and they are replacing my dead cell battery. Great service given the battery is over a year old. +1 star.All in all, these do the job nicely and given the customer service, I'll likely order again if I need additional batteries.

I keep these in my smoke detectors. So far they've been going nearly two months and I haven't heard a "chirp" yet. If I can get 6 months out of them before I have to charge them each time, I will be happy. I figure it has to be doing the environment some good to not be throwing away batteries all the time. I did notice that in some applications they are too big. They fit in my smoke detectors and my outside garage door opener, but they don't fit a remote control for a remote controlled car. They appear to be somewhat larger and MAY not fit everything, but they fit enough things to be valuable. I think it's a good investment.

Li-ion batteries are known for their hold up capacity, longevity and charge retention properties for major consumer use. They surpass the NMH battery types. Just use an appropriate charger for them as the NMH battery nor NiCad chargers will work. Some chargers have multi-type selectors so just make sure you have the right selection or an explosion or fire could be the result.

This is the 2nd batch I've bought. Last batch lasted almost 2 years between my smoke detectors. I have 3 in my house, so I rotate a charging battery into 1 of the detectors every month, so each detector gets a freshly charged battery every 3 months. After about 2 years, I finally start to hear 1 of the smoke detectors beep with a low battery warning. Very happy with the product.

Compré estas baterías para aumentar el tiempo que otras recargables de 200 mAh me daban de servicio antes de recargar (2 días). Esperaba triplicar dicho tiempo, pero en realidad se multiplicó por un factor de 9!
