Kreg KBC6 Automaxx Bench Clamp, 6 Inch

I built a clamping table with Kreg rails and these clamps work well with the table. I found with the length of these clamps make them more versatile. The first ones I got were not made by Kreg and would not adjust correctly ( Chinese ) I would buy again if needed. ( KREG )

Added the 6" kbc6 clamp to the 3" clamp I've been using with my klamp trak. I will probably get another 3" and 6" clamp, really handy on the 2 lengths of klamp trak mounted about 3" in on the front of my 4x8' work bench. When I think of all of the clamping challenges of the past, this whole thing works great. Just finished edge joining some 7/8" thick walnut boards to make wide laundry area shelves, got to love kreg tools.

I already had the KBC3, which I like a lot. I added the KBC6 for the extra reach. On both of them the auto clamping pressure works great. The non-marring tip probably could make a dimple in very soft wood but only if the pressure setting was incorrect for the job. Properly used it is non-marring.The non-marring tip articulates easily to match the surface of the clamped item. There is plenty of room under the lower handle to easily get a grip for closing the clamp, and with no danger to your knuckles. It releases easily with a tug to lift the upper handle. Basically it's fast and easy to use.Three of the KBK-IP Kreg Bench Klamp Insert Plates are mounted in my workbench. Those plates will mount either the KBC3 or KBC6. Love the versatility.Great tool.

the clamp is versatile and well made although a bit pricey. The packaging, as is Amazon's norm recently was abysmal. Three clamps tossed in a plastic mailer bag. They had "retail display" packaging which prevented damage although broken off of them in the process and poking through the bag. I got two steel sawhorses in the same order. One came in, apparently it's original box. The other came banging around in a box that could have held at least four of them. It had one piece of tape stuck to one flap only. Only fate kept the horse in the box undamaged. Apparently Amazon can't get competent help these days.

This clamp works really well with the Kreg tracks to add value for your work table. Only problem is the position of the adjustment wheel is horrible. They should take a lesson from the folks who make Vise Grips and put the adjustment at the end of the “handle”, where it is now is way too hard to locate even for medium sized thumbs.If you don’t need to do a lot of adjustment though it’s great.

This clamp is amazing. It is super simple to use, and the automaxx technology is great. It automatically gauges the thickness of the workpiece, and puts just the right amount of pressure to hold it well. You can change the clamping pressure with a little knob (before clamping it), then it will always just clamp at that pressure until you change it again. All you need is a T-track.

This is a great clamp and, contrary to the listing, you can use it without the Kreg accessory track!I have suffered along with my adjustable clamp on my drill press for years. It works, but you spend a lot of time turning the adjusting screw for different work pieces. The Kreg clamp is totally self adjusting and totally secure. On top of that, it has a pressure pad already installed to keep from marking my (mostly wood) projects. The one adjustment knob just changes the pressure on the piece you are clamping.I adapted it to the steel table on my drill press by drilling out a fender washer to 5/16". The bolt for the clamp fit perfectly and the washer gives enough support to keep the bolt head from pulling through the slot in the table.Super quality from one of my fav brands. I use their pocket screw stuff all the time, too. Just get these!

The 6" automax clamp is easy to use. I needed to clamp a 4" piece on my work table. Works great like all of Kreg tools but is a bit expensive.

Just received the clamp, works great, was worried that it may not work with my PowerTec T track that I have in my work bench but it fits fine. Small adjustment to the bolt on the bottom and fits like a glove.

Expected better for his brand and price, sadly not, made in china, poor design and quality. Buy Bessey buy once.

Die Kreg Automaxx möchte ich nicht mehr missen - Klemmleistung und Anwendung sind einfach optimal für meinem Multifunktionstisch. Und so wundervoll flexibel, da nur ganz selten am Rad für die Klemmleistung gedreht werden muss. Schneller kann ich Werkstücke nun nicht mehr einspannen.Für die Nutzung in meinem MFT mit 20mm Bohrungen habe ich einen 20mm Rundstab aus Buche an der Klemme angebracht. Der Buchestab muss dafür einfach mit 8mm der Länge nach durchbohrt werden und mit einer längeren Schraube an der Klemme befestigt werden. Das Foto zeigt die simple Konstruktion, die die Klemme aber bombenfest im Tisch hält.Das Problem war, die richtige Schraube zu finden, da meine Version der Klemme ein zölliges Gewinde hat. Bei mir passte letztlich eine 5/16 Zoll - 18 Sechskantschraube UNC (Amerikanisches Grobgewinde).Da die Länge von Rundstab und Schraube beliebig wählbar sind, kann man sich die Klemmen auf seine individuellen Bohrungen anpassen.

Great clamps with the Kreg track. May be better ones out there but for me it was perfect. Clamps down work pieces firmly and easily.
