Where should a used filter be thrown? Normal trash or do I have to throw it away in a specific place?

I always put mine in the general waste, haven’t seen anything to the contrary

It works just with its own jug! I'm not using it anymore as this did last just less than 4 weeks (I could see it does not work with my coffee machine issues)!
