Do not buy, production design flaw!
Please do not get these chairs. While the construction seems sturdy the design is flawed. When you put the canvas seat on the holes for the foot rest do not line up. They are off by 1/4 inch. If you take the canvas seat off the holes on the foot rest line up perfectly but then you can't put the canvas seat on because it is short by about 1/4 inch.I'm stuck with the one I got. The others are on back order and I can't quite figure out how to cancel the order.Hate to have to give this product a bad review given everything else about the chair is great but at counter height you can't use these without a foot rest. Your legs dangle....rather uncomfortable.

Not sturdy for adults
I bought this as a birthday gift for my step dad. He is literally 150lbs wet. In less than one day the back right arm snapped. Not happy!! Not fixable or gluable.

Great make up/hair chair for the bathroom
Love it! I am using it for my bathroom as my make up and hair chair. I hate standing while doing my hair and make up so this is perfect. Highly suggest buying this.

Great chair!
I was a little worried with the negative reviews that this chair had to order it, but I did order it and I'm glad I did. I needed a new desk chair, and with a college student budget this fit the bill. I got the chair in solid black fabric and frame and it is great. The only minor issues is that a portion of the wood does have slight damage, but the place that is damaged is on the under side of the hing on the arm rests. So when the chair put together with the fabrics on you don't see it, but before it was assembled I could see it. Since its not visible that's why I still gave it 5 stars. Also the little cushions on this chairs feet are great, I really appreciate they installed anti scratch feet! They are thick and screwed in they aren't those little stick on felt pads!I do also have a bar stool height Pier One directors chair, and I would say this is very comparable of the same quality. the only difference is the Pier One chair has some more details to it but I would say they are the same sturdiness.

Next time I will listen to the bad reviews
Next time I’ll pay attention to bad reviews. After much anticipation and problems with delivery from UPS, My 24 inch directors chair finally arrived packaged well and beautiful upon opening. That’s where it stops. I went to assemble the product top cloth and back Cloth went in perfectly. When I went to put the foot rest in the holes simply did not match up so now I am pounding and pounding and pounding trying to make the screws go in two holes that don’t match. Holes are totally out of line. This is careless behavior on the part of the manufacture and now I have to go to the hassle and aggravation of returning this product.Simply this do not buy this product cheaper price means one thing Cheap product and cheap manufacture, stay away from these people

Great design, some frustrations putting it together
I really like the design of this product. It was the best-looking chair no doubt, especially with the hunter green accent!I would buy it again, but I will say that the only pushback I have was with the instructions or simple things on putting it together. Each thing had a specific thing that fixed it, but before I figured that out, it was frustrating me.The first issue was when I was inserting the seat cloth, it kept getting stuck on the wood inside the grooves, because there would be sharp edges inside the grooves that would get caught on the cloth. If the cloth was covered in a thin plastic, it would make it a lot easier. The trick was on this one, if it gets stuck, lift it and pull forward, and that seemed to work. It took me about 3 extra minutes to get it to got the last inch haha. Not a huge issue now that it is put together. The other issue I had was pushing the metal connectors down. You have to push them down so they are flat according to the instructions, but it doesn't say in the instructions a specific way on how to do this. Since they are thin and metal and close together tightly, I figured that pushing them down with my hands was not a good idea as to avoid cutting my hands. So the first thing I tried was using a hammer and tapping them down to see if that worked. That did not work, so then I tried using my hands against my better judgment. Luckily, I did not cut myself, but I used all the force I had to try to push them down, but I still couldn't. I was literally shaking and my face turning red with how hard I was trying to push them down with my hands. But still nothing. So I stood up, took a breath, and then it finally dawned on me to stomp on them to push them down! This is a trick my Dad taught me when changing a car tire and you need to loosen the lug nut off the wheel. You stand on it and jump up and down if you have to to loosen the lug, and that is how you do it if you cannot move it with your hands! Doesn't sound super safe, I know, but you're only a foot or less off the ground, so best way I know haha.Anyway, that was the key. It finally worked when I stood up to the chair, put my foot on the metal bars, and pushed them down with my leg. Like all humans, we have a lot more strength and muscle in our legs than in our hands! So, after finally doing that I was able to push the metal bars straight and install the foot rest, and now I'm happy! So I just wanted to post this review, so that if anyone buys this, they will save 5-10 minutes of frustration trying to figure out how to put this together. It wasn't many steps, but just little things like saying use your foot to press the bars down instead of press the bars down goes a long way, and hopefully the company can update the instructions. Thanks for the product! I know it might not sound like it here, but I would 100% recommend this product to buy; I just gave it 4 stars because of those things. Thanks!

Doesn't fold but gets the job done.
Bought this chair so I can do makeup professionally on clients without hurting my back anymore. My last chair was also super uncomfortable no one wanted to sit in it lol. For its intended purpose it works great. It's a little wobbly for shorter people to climb up on, so a foot stool is a great add on. I also wish it was foldable so I could store it between clients, and travel with it in my vehicle easier. It takes up my entire backseat since it's a pain to disassemble each time I have to go to a client, then reassemble again. The next chair I buy will probably be a lawn folding chair of the same height. If you need it to fold and store away I don't recommend this chair. If it does not need to fold away, it does the job for the price. Not the sturdiest thing in the world but not awful either.

Small space approve!
It’s a great home office alternative chair! I live in a condo and how we built our space is my office is under the bed (the bed elevates the ceiling so that the bottom can be utilized). I needed a chair that is foldable as the bed is 18inches off the ground. It saves space and convenient!!Director as an occupation? No. But this one makes me feel like one :)Fast shipping - came the next day (thought it would arrive on Friday). What a Tuesday treat!
