Every teacher that teaches writing MUST get this book! Excellent, explicit instructional strategies for students. Organized with systematic practice for students.

Excellent resource

I'd give the content alone 5 stars, but the printing quality is disappointing. This is a book I'll keep and refer to often but the pages are so thin and I'm not sure they will hold up. Also the print is rather small and the font is hard to read. For a $40 book I expected higher quality printing.

The adaptation of the reading rope into a writing rope is novel. The rest is nothing profound. Literally everything else is what you get from your education degree, writing curriculum and generally good teaching practices.If you're brand new and have 0 clue how to teach writing, buy the book. If you've been at it a while, it's not meant for you.
