The DT series excels overall for several reasons: 1. Each lure is marked with its depth so there is no guesswork; they reach that level when retrieved with a long cast and a neutral density line like Fluorocarbon using a thin line like 10 or 12 pound test. 2. They are highly buoyant and so float over obstacle when you pause the retrieve after bumping into underwater obstructions like rocks and sunken wood. 3. They are available in a wide variety of realistic colors that enable you to match the forage the bass are feeding upon when water is relatively clear, as well as a variety of exaggerated colors for situations where the water if off-color. 4. They come tank tuned so they run true and are equipped with strong, sharp VMC hooks attached by strong split rings. Most used by me are the DT6s on which I have caught large mouth bass up to 7 pounds 11 ounces. The only change I make is to add realistic, epoxy resin eyes which are easy to attach with super glue.
