OD fluctuates between 9.86mm and 10.16mm and slightly bowed.
I purchased these tubes for a Fast Electric RC boat build (90+mph) to support my sponsons on a 40" Fiberglass outrigger. When I first pulled them out of the box, I was impressed by the finished and nice look of the carbon fiber pattern. At high speed, stability and rigidity is crucial to keep the sponsons center lines in perfect parallel with the main hull and on plane with the horizontal alignment of the hull and the waters surface.. That is why I chose these carbon fiber tubes. That being said, as my hull is nearing completion, and getting ready to drill the hull and sponsons to attached them together with the carbon fiber tubes I did a detailed inspection. And I discovered with a digital caliper and completely flat surface that the OD of the rods fluctuates between 9.86mm and 10.16mm. I could have with worked with that, 0.30mm discrepancy on the diameter is not that big a deal if the tubes were straight. After all, holes on the sponsons and the hull would be slightly overdrilled and would filled by epoxy to hold them in place once the tubes where run through the hull and sponsons. The diameter issue only created a minor fixable situation. But when placed I the tubes on a completely flat surface and rolled them to check for True/straight I discovered both tubes are not true or straight. They have a visible bow that runs the length of each tube raising the center of the tubes 2.65mm off the flat surface. The bowing issue would create a possible 6deg alignment problem that could not fixed! A 6deg alignment problem at 100mph could be disastrous to say the least. The rods are nice and would be great for a kite type project. But they lack the precision and quality for a detailed build. If you are doing a kite buy them their nice. If you are doing a detailed project where specifications are crucial, Choose a different product!! See attached photos

**UPDATE**Gloss and matte in one pack
*update*These were supposed to be glossy and got one glossy and one matte and they were both in the same pack so I don't know how this happened i'll be contacting the seller then maybe I'll change the starsafter i saw the problem i contacted the seller and was able to get the correct glossy pairthey were very helpful and got the correct items shipped to me*update 2*After finally getting the correct rods delivered I have also noticed that the rods are not fully straight. I'm in the process of building a 3D Printer for my self and a customer and this has really made a huge delay on the orders(I'm trying to work the problems out with "Hobby-Wing"

These carbon fiber tubes have a nice smooth coating on them, so no need to worry about any carbon splinters either. These tubes are super high quality carbon fiber, and insanely light as well as insanely durable. You can expect great quality and great prices from these tubes. I highly recommend these tubes, and am insanely happy with them!

Superb carbon fibre rods. I didn't use it as a spinning shaft that needed to be threaded through a ball bearing/ball race but rather a structural support for a remote control helicopter boom. I was replacing a similar pair of rods that were damaged in a minor crash a few years ago. The carbon fibre weave is just wonderful. And if you're wondering the OD measurement varied from 8.05 mm - 8.11 mm which was perfect for my needs.

Awesome product
Was in need of something to help support my printer. Came across this tubing and knew it would be perfect for what I had in mind. I designed the clamp/bracket to be used. Works flawless. So much more strength than before to keep that wobble at Bay.

Perfect fit on Immersion RC Vortex 285
It was exactly what I needed to replace the arms on my Immersion RC Vortex 285 drone. Perfect fit and it only took 1 piece to make all 4 , so it left me with enough material to also have back up arms. As I'm writing this review , it just occured to me that I can make these arms longer than stock in order to get bigger props on here and convert these 5 " props to 6" or 7" props! I guess I'll be ordering another pair...

Great 3D Printer Braces
Designed some brackets to use these as a brace for my 3D printer. The dimensions are spot on and my printer is now rock solid. Great product.
