It's your typical modern furniture... Overpriced sawdust glued together and then laminated with something to make it look like real wood.It will serve the purpose I wanted it for so I can't complain about it there. I am using it for a cabinet to hold some cigar humidors and bottles of adult drinks. The pull out drawer is perfect for holding my cigar accessories and a few other things.It was fairly easy to assemble. Out of most furniture kits I've built in the past it was one of the better written and drawn out ones. My youngest daughter who is 5 actually helped me build it. I gave her the directions and she actually picked out the pieces we would need for each step. I'd still look at them to make sure she was right and she was. So if she can figure out the directions I believe anyone can.I'd rate the cabinet as:3 stars for "wood" material3 stars for cost4 stars for color5 stars for size5 stars for functionSo I guess it averages to a 4 star product for me.

I like it because it's small and fit perfectly in the spot I bought it for. The storage is pretty good for the size, I would've like at least two more inches in depth. It's in my office sectioned off for art supplies.

Had damaged parts. Bought the matching desk, shocker, it also had damaged and broken parts.

This is a great accent piece for the price. It’s exactly as pictured and we love it as an addition to our kitchen for storage and to get the coffee maker off our counters. The only negative is that the top pull out drawer is quite shallow but still absolutely happy with it. Very attractive and sturdy.

This review is for the Sauder Costa Library Base, Coffee Oak finish. I spent about fourhours putting this together. That's the longest I've ever spent putting together furniture. The instructions are very well written, but there are a lot of steps. One of the most important things to do is make the proper adjustments to the drawer and doors. For example, when I first put the drawer in, the doors clipped the bottom of it. So I loosened the screws in the drawer rails, shifted the drawer up a little bit and retightened. This is made possible because the holes in the metal rails are large enough to have some play in them. If you have patience and follow the instructions and diagrams carefully, you'll be rewarded with a very sturdy and great looking piece of furniture. I am very happy with it.

Assembly was a breeze compared to some other slap-it-together furniture. The instruction author has a sense of humor. The door hinges are excellent. Lost of adjustments so that the doors can be hung just right. Only once did I think, "Yeah, but it was only $60." That was due to a few very minor issues on fit and finish.

It is a great cheap office cabinet, it does take awhile to assemble but if you take your time and follow the directions/pictures you will be fine. I have bought one these before so it went quick the second time.

The media could not be loaded.  I am so glad I found these. They are exactly what I have been looking for. The colour of the ‘Chalked Washed Chestnut’ is a fresh, clean and airy look. The quality is “Sauder” quality, and I know “Sauder” stands behind its products. I have owned and trusted Sauder pieces since the early 1990’s.We ordered the two matching pieces the same day but since they were coming from two different locations, we expected them to come a few days apart... But no. Instead, they both came on the same day. Double whammy, right? Building one ready-to-assemble (RTA) piece can be daunting, but two, in one day, oh, oh, too much. Well, they went together flawlessly and within about 5 hours they were both built. The advantage was that they were from the same collection so, by building the smaller cabinet first, with the easy-to-follow instructions in under two hours, the larger credenza went quite smoothly.We were replacing a smaller TV stand that had an electric fireplace in it and were a bit disappointed at the thought of losing it. As it turned out though the width of the middle shelves in the Credenza was the same as the old unit and with a bit of tweaking it could be made safe and complete the look we needed to pull the room together. We made sure that the space was going to be safe and have the same airflow as well as distance configuration as had been in our last unit.IF you decide to do anything like this you must FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT ACCOMPANY the electric fireplace. SAFETY is paramount.I do like to clean every corner of the room a few times a year as well as change things up by rearranging the furniture a few times a year. That means moving things around. I do not like needing to empty everything when I do that so I also had my husband add casters to the credenza since it holds the TV and other heavy items.To be sure to not cause any problems with the integrity of the unit and to help with them being slightly hidden the casters are added by using two pieces of 1x3 oak slightly in from the front and back of the bottom across the span of the whole unit. They are slightly lower than the actual legs of the unit so that I can slide it around without any problems.I am very glad that Amazon sells quality products and makes them accessible to people who are not living in larger centres. If you care about buying things "Made In North America" There is a very interesting story behind the "Sauder" furniture and if you want to understand what you are purchasing it is nice to be able to research the company behind the product.History of Sauder Woodworking Co.
