We use this as an actual serving tray (although it's attractive enough to be a home accent). It's big enough to move a lot of food to the patio for outdoor meals, but it's not awkwardly large. Very sturdy and easy to clean, it quickly supplanted the flat metal tray we've used for years. Very pleased with this purchase.

I have been trying to find a serving tray approximately 20" x 14" for some time. I have gone through several serving trays in my search. I have an awesome bamboo cutting board, and somehow I totally forgot about the wonderment of bamboo. I purchased and returned several other trays, each purchased only after diligent research. I have put many hours into this. One of the primary concerns of a tray is that it the food-safe. Inevitably you will drop food on a tray and probably put it in your mouth. You have OCD would never do such a thing? How about you kids? How about your sick-ones? How about your elderly parents? You think they care? Most of us are not perfect. It is my opinion that disease is not necessarily only genetic as we are told by "them." And many other diseases. The way I see it everything that we can do in a small way to remove causation builds to a larger picture wherein we are much less likely, at least hopefully and hypothetically, to not become diseased. Yes we all die. We don't need to however suffer before we die, at least minimalize it. Also with all the other serving trays, the best of the rustic, made of wood, one drop of oil and they are ruined. This tray is made of bamboo, though it has some sort of light coating, not too thick, not too shiny, just enough, where you can drop oil on it, for instance, and no stains: What a concept! A serving tray that inevitably pieces of lettuce and beef stew and whatever that inevitably are going to fall on the tray ruining it. Most of these things have oil, and don't forget about your marinara sauce. This tray is light, attractive, modern looking, old-fashioned looking, everything. Nobody paid me for this. I don't get paid for opinions. If I want to give an opinion I do, if I don't I won't, my soul is not for sale. This is the tray you want. This company is also as per my research top-notch. Feed good companies, starve the bad ones. It's called capitalism. I believe in capitalism. It works.

The tray is great. Very roomy and sturdy when it comes to holding items. HOWEVER, the tray did crack our of no where so the durability is very weak. I use this on very rare occasions now when I need a larger tray.

I recently moved and found myself eating at the couch or in the bedroom or office as I slowly got unpacked.A butler's tray seemed like good answer. But I wanted something a bit bigger and lighter than most of the offerings available.Bamboo is perfect for this.This tray cost a little more than I hoped to spend, but I'm thrilled with my purchase.I'm writing this review on Black Friday and see that there's a great deal. Wish I needed an extra.

This review will be a collection of three products purchased on Amazon, the most relevant to this product will be listed first.Starting with the "Totally Bamboo Butler's Tray". I do really like the look of this product and love the way the two sets of porcelain look on it. The tray would also serve well as just a normal dining or serving tray. The tray is very sturdy, yet light. The only qualm I had with the tray is that the manufacturer, for some reason, decided to put a giant sticker in the middle of the serving side that was a pain to get off. Even with the sticker problem I would buy this product again and do recommend it for anyone looking for a Bamboo tray.Next, the "Cherry Blossom Tree Tea Set". I love it, the design is amazing and pops from the white porcelain. The cups are nicely sized and have a very traditional look to them, without handles, and are octagonal. I was surprised to find that an infuser was included with this set, a metal loose tea infuser is included to fit the pot under the lid. I love displaying this set on my Bamboo serving trey and will love using it as well! Just a side note as well, the second picture showing the design of this product is actually a picture of the Sake Set.Finally, the "Cherry Blossom Japanese Sake Set". I originally bought the sake set because it matches the tea set, and I am very glad that I did. The sake set is smaller than I had imagined but look very good, by themselves or sitting next to the tea set. The cups are very small, holding probably around a shot of sake at a time. Really happy with this purchase!

This Butler's Tray from Totally Bamboo is very well made, high quality and beautiful bamboo tray. Many guests asked us where did we get it from. It's quite attractive and feels super strong. We purchased it in November 2013 and after using for several years now, it is as good as new. We clean it with warm water and periodically treat it with mineral oil as suggested by manufacturer. One thing I would like to caution is tray is quite big than you think. It is 23 inch x 15 inch. If you can't visualize it, simply cut a paper of that size. This big size makes it difficult to carry small items like couple glass of water as they tend to slide in the tray and you are holding quite far so there is less control. But on the other hand, this is great for serving large quantity of food or fruits such as breakfast in bed or for serving appetizer for party.In summary, this is beautiful high quality piece of art for kitchen enthusiasts and The only reason for 4-stars (vs five starts) is it is too expensive.

Love the size of this tray, as well as.. the " Dovetail " corners and convenience of the handles. There was a sticky label on the top.. but removable with soap and warm water. Very practical and well made tray. Bamboo , will last longer than most of the usual wooden trays ,out there. Very pleased with this purchase . Have the cutlery divider from this line.. also excellent !

I love this tray, it's large which is great because I'm using it as a serving surface on my leather ottoman. The reason I'm not giving it a 5 is because I think the seams on the insides could have been done better but I still recommend it. One more thing I'd add is that the tray hasn't shown any signs of spinsters like some other bamboo products sometimes do, surface after about a year of purchase.
