Powerful and quite
This AC is easy to use and cools the room efficiently. The room is in the attic and is 16 x 14. My favorite part is the through the wall trim piece which looks great. The unit is quite enough as to not affect sleep. The quality of the unit is good and the remote very simple

Worth the money
I installed the AC in our second bedroom it is right at 100 Sq ft. Don't forget to purchase a sleeve. I went with the LG recommended with rear screen. I had precut the wall prior to the AC and sleeve arriving. The measurement allowed for more than enough room for shifting into place. Using shims, it went in solid with screws on both sides. None on the top or the bottom. Once you add the vertical weatherstrip to right inside about 9 inches from front the AC slid right in. It is on. cooling, very quiet. I would recommend using the LG sleeve I glanced at the directions for other brands. confusing!!

Design Flaw - Overheats
I had the same experience as Matt Punk. Sadly, I bought the unit over Memorial Day and didn't use it for weeks because it wasn't warm enough so I didn't notice the design flaw until it got into the 90's with high humidity. Now my return window has expired. It overheats and shuts down with the error code CH34. LG's website suggests that the error code relates to the coils being dirty or the unit needs shade from the sun. Well, the coils are not dirty because it is brand new and the sun doesn't hit that side of the building. Plus we only run it at night because it's in our bedroom. I called LG customer service and they tried to tell me the same thing. She finally agreed to send someone out to look at the unit and the repairman arrived yesterday. He told me that he sees tons of CH34 error codes on units that are in a sleeve and proceeded to tell me that the sleeve is the problem (it is old). However, when he pulled out the unit he admitted that the louvers for the heat to escape are substantial enough and that it really shouldn't be overheating. He actually told me that if I had purchased a Frigidaire or Friedrich, we most likely would not have this problem. I think that the fan in the unit that blows the hot air out does not blow hard enough for the air to leave the sleeve so it just stays inside resulting in the overheating. Not a defect, said the repairman, so we are stuck. The design of this air conditioner is flawed. He also told me that LG is aware of the problem, but doesn't want to go through the hassle and expense of a recall. You will regret spending your money on this. I sure do.Incidentally, we have a Frigidaire in the living space and it has the same sleeve conditions as in our bedroom. No problems whatsoever.

A reasonable wall A/C
Unlike some of the other reviews, my unit arrived via UPS in fine shape. The packaging was robust and in tact. It was dropped off two days late by a pair of UPS employees who informed me “It’s heavy.” They were correct. I scooted it inside and enlisted friends to help me get it upstairs and into the wall to replace en existing, super noisy unit. The awful instructions will not accommodate all wall sleeves. Ours are 31 years old and are much taller than any of the newer styles. The instructions do not outline WHY you should place a small piece of foam here or there, instead opting for tiny diagrams and poor English. Explaining a little bit of the why is very helpful to those of use who are mechanically inclined. Only after getting all the foam in place inside the sleeve did I realize the new LG is 4”+ shorter than the wall sleeve. What a pain.It looks like they designed the buttons to be used while looking down at them. Our unit is mounted high on the wall and you must hold the remote up as high as you can and angle it downward to get it to work. The bottom of the temperature setting readout is obscured because it’s angled upward.Overall it is a quiet unit. The interior fan is loud on speed 3, but that’s expected. The compressor makes a thud when it turns on or off but is otherwise quiet in operation. The front grate rattles intermittently because it’s a poor design and cheap plastic. The clean filter light illuminates every 2ish weeks because it counts 250 hours of unit on time, not running time. The coarse dust filter hasn’t been dirty yet. In energy saver mode it may not run the compressor for hours if the room temperature is acceptable. The fan comes on briefly every 3 minutes to check if the room needs more cooling while in energy saver mode. This is nice because it’s not wasting electricity but also annoying because it’s always there as a reminder of how long you’ve been lying there at night trying to fall asleep.Temperature control is fine. Setting it to energy saver and 69°F renders a high of 74°F and a low of 72°F. This very acceptable since I don’t want it cooler than 72° anyway. The unit pumps out cold, cold air and the fan moves plenty of that cold air.Overall it works well and is relatively quiet. It had given us no problems for the whole summer. It needs better instructions, a tiltable control surface and higher quality exterior components to garner that fifth star.

Works great!
This a/c unit works excellent for my family room and can only hope that the longevity of the unit lasts as long as the Panasonic one we had in there for 25 years! Doubt it because they don’t make things to last like they use to! I hate the saying that everyone tends to use these days, appliances only last 10 years now! Why!

Really Cools
This was a replacement unit for one which was bought in 2021. It was easy to install, and it started up easily. It cooled down my apartment within 15 minutes. The remote does not have a temperature display and it is a bit noisy. However, it does a great job of cooling the room. With the high heat and humidity, this air conditioner unit is worth buying.

Outstanding LF air conditioner and Amazon/Seller service.
My old wall conditioner failed early July and I was constantly being told another would take about 2 weeks to be delivered, if it was in stock. Finally I decided to order from Amazon and was pleasantly surprised when the LG ac I ordered online on a Friday night was delivered and installed the following Monday morning! The unit works great and has kept my home at a steady 72 degrees despite the outside temps exceeding 90 degrees. The remote is not as user friendly as the old one, but if that's the worst of my problems, I'm happy.I would recommend both this LG ac and Amazon's Seller (Joe's) to any and all.
