SureFire G2X Tactical Single Output LED Flashlight, Yellow

I have bought a number of high end flashlights and like this one best. I prefer plastic bodies to metal bodies since I sometimes hold the light in my mouth to free up both hands and I wouldn't care to hold a metal light in my teeth. The light is quite small, so I like the yellow color since it makes it much easier to spot the light if I drop it. I like the light from halogen bulbs better than the light from LEDs (like this light has), but the batteries last much longer with LEDs and the LEDs are much more sturdy. If you drop a light with a halogen bulb, you're likely to have to replace the bulb. All in all, I like this light quite well.

I don't understand how the G2X I bought from Amazon has a push-button for "momentary on" but you have to twist the cap to turn it "constant on" and yet the G2X I bought the same week at a local gun shop has both the "momentary on" AND the "constant on" controlled by the push button on the cap.I did not want to have to twist the cap for "constant on", that is why I only give it three starts.The light is bright and appears very rugged - they just need to improve their description in the ad.Edit - 20 Jan 2016: I called Surefire. The older versions of the G2X's have the push button for "momentary on" and the "twist cap for constant on". Newer G2X's have both the "momentary on" AND the "constant on" both controlled by the push button on the cap.Basically the one I bought off Amazon was an older G2X and the one I got at the gun shop was a newer flashlight. According to the person I spoke with on the phone at Surefire, if you order directly from Surefire you will get the latest variant - the one that has a push button on the cap for both functions. I ordered two more from directly from Surefire. Of course shortly after ordering I received an email from Surefire that the Black G2X's were out of stock and were backordered waiting on production to catch up.

This small light is the best light yet!!! I work in a theater for arts, and this rugged solid long lasting light for sure makes life easy. I got the Yellow color and it is very easy to grab out of my tool bag, push the button and go. It is solid, not cheap feeling by any means. the battery last for a vey very long time. Make sure to unscrew the lid so the light does not drain in your bag or backpack. I am very happy!

Love it! The yellow is nice easy to find and its Surefire quality as well as made in the great U.S. Of A!!!!!!!Just right amount of light for edc, and for self defense, and could be used for search and rescue no problem!

This is the greatest flashlight ever!! It illuminates everything around. Don't let those sneaky coyotes get yo chickens! Lite 'em up with this Surefire G2X!

As good as all of my surefire products. Great for car as battery last long time in storage. Recomnded buy.
