Works great to block off a wide open area by my deck steps
I have a very wide area by the steps on my rear deck. I wanted to block most of it off and add a vinyl gate so my dogs couldn't run out into the yard as soon as I let them out, to give me a chance to check for gophers and bunnies in the yard before I let them out. I added two of these fence sections and a vinyl gate from the same manufacturer and it is a great solution! The heavy feet mean I don't have to drill into my new composite wood deck; the fence pretty much stays put but I will eventually add something to slip in between the boards to help keep the fence in place even more. Assembly was super easy even though it took about 20 minutes each. I am really happy I found these - it was much better than using an indoor baby gate out there because they rust and the paint runs off of them (I've tried them before). This is vinyl so it will last as long as my fence railing and other fences do. They were a great value, too.

Great fence
We bought this to help keep our dog in the yard and it does great! Thankfully, our pup doesn't try to jump up on it otherwise it would fall over for sure but I'm sure you could buy some sort of anchors to drill to the home or structure you're blocking it for. The space in between our house and garage was an awkward width to install a fence that wouldn't be too pricey and this fits perfectly!! We purchased the second post for it to secure into and used heavy bricks to hold it in place. We love this little fence, especially for the price!

Fencing across my driveway
Update 3/7/23: Great customer service! Okay, so on the one hand, I am distressed that the plastic pins that sit on the posts sheared off on one side. One at a time. I didn't even notice that it had happened to one of them; the fence was still upright and functional. But the bottom partner to that sheared off today when I moved the fence aside. Which kind of makes sense in retrospect... after the top one broke off, there would be more stress on the bottom one. The top post cap also cracked and broke somewhere along the way. I was thinking about calling them and asking for replacements, but when the second pin broke, the fence is just not functional any longer, so I decided to call. They answered the phone quickly and were helpful and knowledgeable and are sending me replacement pieces. I'll have to figure out something else while I'm waiting for the shipment, but this was a very pleasant customer experience, and has further endeared me to Zippity.I have some Zippity pound-in fencing around my yard, and have found it to be a good solution until I'm ready to pay for a more permanent fence. So I've kept my eye on this brand for other products, like this one. Like my pound-in fencing, this is "pretty good", while somehow also being not ideal. The bases are metal and everything else is vinyl, FWIW.I have a 50lb lab mix who is pleasantly respectful of suggested boundaries. Some day, I will put up a proper gate across my driveway, but there's other work I need to do on the house first, so I needed a less expensive solution. Comically, I have an old piece of picket fence propped up with a couple of lawn chairs, and that's all I need to keep her contained. But of course, it's not the most attractive, and I'm sure the neighbors are expecting my yard to start collecting old cars and other junk any day now.So, for $220 (this set plus the extra post), I now have an attractive fence panel that stands up on its own. I need to spend a little more time with it before I'm sure I can retire the old picket fence, but "signs point to yes", as the magic eight ball would say. Things that I need to understand better in use is the difficulty of moving it in and out of position, its ability to stay standing in the wind, and what happens if my dog should lean on it. (The propped-up picket fence is often knocked down by a big wind, so there's not much competition there, but my dog never leans against it for whatever reason, and I don't yet know if she'll lean against this.) If this works, I'll be buying one more unit to make the stretch longer. The hinges on this are definitely part of the appeal for me.Update, 7/8: It's a bit of a pain to move this in and out of position, because the panel leaves the posts. (The panel sets down into the posts, but there's nothing to hold it there I am pondering how I might rig this so that it stays in place when I lift it (and doesn't look too ugly). I will update again. (Conversely, the ease of removing the panel from the posts is better for storage, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.)Better for my needs/wishes:1. If this could end up as a full accordion type fold, I could more easily put it out of the way2. Or, if there were a gate solution, I wouldn't have to put it out of the way3. It might be nice if there were a removable pin or something like that to hold the bases in place when in use, but to allow for easy storage.4. 7/8 update: This needs a way to hold the panel in place when you lift it.It might be that I need longer bases to help prevent knocking over, but I like that I can just bolt these to a 4x4 or whatever if that seems necessary. Also, to span the whole driveway and in the absence of a gate, if this stands up well enough on its own, I might get a second full set (post plus the main fence) and attach them in the middle with a cord.Overall, this is a good idea in many ways, but not quite there. (Just like the pound-in fencing. Ah well.)Update #2, 11/30: We are having some crazy winds today. When the dog's in daycare, I slide this fence panel up against the house. With these strong winds, it got knocked over there, even right next to the house, which was a surprise (this means about 6-8" away from the house, because of the foot supports, FWIW). When I brought the dog home, I knew it wasn't going to stay in place across the driveway. I put a cinder block on each of the feet. To my surprise, this keeps the fence upright, but it slid across my driveway in the wind. Kind of better than falling over, and it's easy in my use case to just look outside before I let the dog out to see if the fence is in place.I'm bummed, though, that one of the plastic top caps broke when the fence (next to the house) blew over earlier today. Really a shame that these aren't sturdier.

Thos one is shorter than my expectations
Let's be straight from the first sentence. I had no plans to build a deck railing, fence, or anything.I only looked for a single pole to keep all my pool floats stacked and fixed against the short thunderstorms or wind gusts. However, I have a way of improving this item as a single, standalone pole, so I can put my floats over it and keep it from flying all over the backyard. It's not tall as I wanted or pictured, but it's not a seller or manufacturer problem. However, I still have issues picturing feet and inches, so it's a bit shorter than I envisioned, and I can only hold some of my floating devices.Besides, I have no reason to complain about it - well built, has good paint, and lasted through one summer with no sign of wear.
