Deep enough to check moisture in the bottom of my big potWhen I read leaflet with instruction I realised - you shouldn't keep longer than 1hour this moisture meter.I am a happy with purchasing a good quality product It is very useful to know when the plants needed more water as its could be so easy to kill the real plant (indoors or outdoors) with too much water.

They work wonderfully 7 now i don’t over water 🪴 plants.

Purchased a pack of two of the moisture meters. One for indoor and one for outdoor plants and veggies. Easy to use just put it in the soil, easy to read red = water, green = do nothing, blue = drain soil or add better drainage. Great size, for large and small spaces. Great value for money. Would by again and would recommend this product, actually wish id bought one sooner.

First point: one of the gauges permanently reads 1-2 on gauge, other is zero. Off putting…..At first was a novelty…now I’m back to using ‘feel’ of pot by weight to judge whether to water or not.These are ok to tell you if your compost is wet… but nuancing differences between dry to moist is not its strong point in my opinion. Others may find different, its down to individual choice

Rubbish! Don’t waste your money like I did. Even when put in a bowl of water the gauge says dry. Should be no stars.

Bought to check th.e moisture level in plants. I plunge the spike into the soil at different levels to check, best to put it right down near the root system. Certainly recommend it.

Used one, following instructions but it stopped working after using it on my garden potted plants after the first time.
