Westinghouse WGen3600 Portable Generator, 4650 Peak Watts & 3600 Rated Watts, RV Ready 30A Outlet, Wheel & Handle Kit, Gas Powered

I am more than happy with this generator. I bought it when PG&E started doing blackouts in California for the fire issues. Amazon delivered it right to my door - amazing. I unboxed it, put on the wheels and moved it easily up 5 steps onto my deck. You DO want the wheels, it would be really hard to maneuver this around otherwise. After the blackout I decided to move it further away so easily got it down the steps again and moved it 20 ft. out so my 25' cable would reach to my door. Took 5 minutes to get the supplied bottle of oil into the engine, add gas and fire it up. It started easily with ONE pull. I used the 30 amp socket with heavy cable and powered up a large refrigerator freezer combo, my chest freezer, and started charging every battery I had around. Worked absolutely perfectly and kept a LOT of frozen food I had just bought from going bad.While not the quietest generator out there, it is also not super loud. I could hear it when I was in the house but it was not even as loud as lawn services in the neighborhood when they run their lawnmowers and leaf blowers. I did not consider it anything at all bothersome - particularly since I knew I was saving my food.It is very well built, easy to maneuver as long as you get the wheeled model, and it started every single time with one easy pull. Plenty of power for my needs, I am 100% pleased and highly recommend this unit.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this generator to run my camper and the lights and power tools in the house while I remodel it. The generator arrived early on shipment. I was impressed with that. It was easy to assemble 2 back wheels. slide the pin through the wheel, washer on the backside of wheel, slide in the pin into hole on mounting bracket and put locking pin through wheel pin to hold it to generator. The two rubber supports in the front. Four bolts and they are mounted to the underside of the frame. The assembly part is finished. Some of the handy features are. It has a very sturdy fold down handle on the front of it for moving it around. It’s not too heavy. It is extremely well-built welds look excellent. heavy duty. lotta bang for the buck on this unit, ladies and gentlemen. The noise level is reasonably low. in the camper, I have had the electric heater and the microwave going at the same time and did not trip the breaker on the generator like my last 3600 power inverter super quiet generator did. the power just keeps coming out of this generator it starts very easy. I’ve only had to take two pulls on the starting rope one time so far. You only have to use the choke if it’s below 50° well that’s the lowest it’s been for me so far. I’m very happy with the purchase of this beast of a unit!! I highly recommend this to anybody looking for a back up or weekend generator for their camper/cabin. Westinghouse. A name you can trust! To be clear, I have not used the generator in an emergency yet - I have only tested it. I ran it for about 30 minutes while powering a small refrigerator and some other devices. Based on my experience, I am very pleased with it.The generator arrived in excellent shape - no issues from shipping. It was easy to assemble the wheel kit and add oil. I had it ready to go in about a half hour.You will want to have the wheel kit. Is is very easy to move and maneuver with the wheels, but heavy and awkward enough to be difficult without them. In an emergency, the last thing I want is to hurt my back getting the generator ready.I added some gas and followed the instructions to start it. To say that it is easy to start is an understatement. It started on the first pull, and I didn't even need to pull hard. It was amazing. The noise was about what I expected, maybe a little quieter than comparable generators I have used. It runs very smoothly. Everything worked great. The emissions control is amazing. I was surprised that I could never small any fumes as I approached it when it was running. All of the controls and outlets, as well as the oil plug and oil fill/dipstick are clearly labeled and easy to access.Note that while this is rated at 3600/4650 watts, you cannot accomplish that using only the two household outlets. Those share a 20 amp breaker. So using normal extension cords, whether one or two, the best you can do is 2400 watts (120V x 20 amps). Unless you plan to use something connected to the L5-30 or TT-30 connector, you will want to buy an L5-30P adapter in order to take advantage of the full capacity. Adding the 30 amp (up to 3600 watts) capacity of the L5-30 outlet to the 20 amps, you can reach the full capacity. I don't write many reviews and when I do I like to come straight to the point.This is a good generator for what it's supposed to do and for the money spent to acquire it. Be aware it's harmonic Distortion is high and the noise level is annoying but still manageable. A lot of people talk about using this generator for their RVs. I would not recommend that because there are sensitive electronic components within the body of your RV fridge and air conditioner that don't like modified sine wave. It's a good job site generator for tools. It's miserly on the fuel, simple to use and always cranks up

After going through a hurricane with no power for a few days I bought this generator. I've had a few power outages since, and this unit does the job! Easy to start and hook up. I highly recommend.

After several power outages where we relied on the neighbors Westinghouse, we decided it was time to invest in our own. This generator has not disappointed! It can easily power our two refrigerators, deep freezer, and multiple accessories. We can even run power to our elderly neighbor to power her fridge. It starts reliably, which is exactly what you need when power goes out.
