Works great, good value.
Works great, easy to install. The cab of my 1993 F150 is cooler in the summer now.

Keeps the heat off in Summer
This works great! I needed this to keep the heater core cool so my AC will cool the inside of my truck. The hot/cold door actuator is busted and this is like having a new truck. I can stay cool in the summer heat.

Good valve
Perfect valve for an optional heater core bypass. Installed it last summer and have had no problems. Had it open all winter and switched it back to bypass recently.

Works
An old timer told me about using one of these to help make your air icy cool in the summer time in the south. If you don’t have your coolant all drained out it will make a mess to install but mine was already drained to install a new heater core soI did it at the same time.Good quality, valve moves nicely. Will test it this summer as I installed it in winter, but it does work to return the hot coolant before it gets into the air box. So the dryer and condenser don’t have to try and fight the heat from the heater core.I installed it on my 1994 f-150. Really straight forward if you can get to your heater hoses on any vehicle though. Learned about it on a backhoe, so it should cross to just about anything with a heater and A/C.Just make sure you mark your hoses before you cut them so you don’t get them crossed. Probably won’t make a difference but there are no instructions in the box, that’s what I did and it worked.

Nice!
Looks like a quality part.I used this on my 34 year old Jeep MJ to keep hot coolant from circulating through the heater core in the cab in summer. The factory valve is no longer made and the third party plastic valve I tried WAS JUNK… fell apart in just a couple years. Only luck kept my from being stranded. You do have to open it manually once in the fall and close it again in early summer, a very very minor inconvenience. In winter it allows coolant flow per normal to the heater core. in summer it still allows proper flow but redirects circulation back to the engine, bypassing the heater. Quick easy install. I was able to use the existing hose clamps. Don’t forget to plug off the vacuum line that controlled the factory valve, I used a screw! There were no instructions but simply operating the valve and blowing through it will determine the flow path. I highly recommend trying this. Of course only time will tell how well it last long term.

Work great for bypassing an evaporator core on a conversion van
Our old conversion van was blowing hot air through the rear AC. The evaporator was an aftermarket unit that was no longer supported. Installing this bypass valve in the heater hoses did the trick. I had to change out the antifreeze anyway, so cut the lines and installed with hose clamps. The valve takes quite a bit of force to operate, but we will likely only be using it once or twice a year. The rear AC now blows ice cold.

Bought myself some time!
Very easy to install and operate. This product allows me to continue using vehicle until I have the time & inclination to replace heater core!
