Perfect for the job
Pans are very nice and durable. Primary use is for baking bacon and breaded chicken. They are perfect for the tasks. The grates fit snugly in the pan and don’t shift when moving the pans around. I put parchment paper underneath the grate just to make cleanup even easier.

Wonderful but VERY HEAVY
The quality is outstanding! I love them. However, they are very, very, very heavy to lift and move around. I’m reasonably stronger and, using one hand, I’m unable to lift more than a corner. It requires 2 hands that are placed in the middle of opposite sides (rather than at a single edge) to lift and move this sheet. That said, they’re wonderful and will last for a long time.

Wow...sturdiest sheet pan you'll ever own!
I really only needed a rack for the 9.5" x 13" aluminum sheet pan I already had, but it was impossible to find the correct size for just the rack, so I opted for this set. Even before opening the box I could tell from the weight this was high quality. Shockingly heavy for a small pan (but still light enough to one-hand). This is super heavy duty, with burr-free, beautifully rolled edges, with a sturdy rack. No warping in the oven even on the highest temperatures. Cleanup relatively easy. Obviously for baked on messes you might need a little scrubbing, but this is easier than aluminum. I also like the fact that I'm using stainless over aluminum for foods that are cooked directly on the pan (e.g. roasting veggies), since the jury's still out on the long-term safety of aluminum. You'll be shocked by the quality for not much more than lesser pans.

Better than most
These are nice, well built pans. They have thicker metal than most and the rolled edges do make the pans easier to pick up with 1 hand and keep their shape. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the rolled edges also retain water when you wash them. It makes them drip and you end up having to take this into account before you put them away in the cupboard or they will drip on other things. It's not that big of a deal but it is something you need to keep in mind. I'd buy these again. More expensive than others but you get better quality for your money.

Holy Moses!
I was past pleasantly surprised. I mainly got this for the rack, but the pan it came with was sturdier than any other of my baking sheets and I have nice ones! it's twice the weight as my other baking sheets, and I could probably knock someone's lights out with it! without putting a dent in it. Not that I'm going to try that, but this is seriously a good, heavy, well made pan. rack fits perfectly, even though the rack is not the same sturdiness as the pan. It's not so heavy I can't pick it up and move it one handed. I haven't used it in the dishwasher yet, I've hand cleaned it, my others turned in appearance, this might not, just not willing to give that a go since I like to never got the other pan (different brand) back to original appearance Good investment

Great for putting on the smoker
I really like this half sheet size for smoking ham or turkey on my outside smoker. I usually line it with aluminum foil to make cleaning easier. NOTE: the pan itself should be had washed, as the dishwasher drying liquid will turn the pan a bit dull. The rack cleans up well in the dish washer. This pan catches the juices and makes cleaning of the smoker far easier than without. It also makes it easy to move the meat inside for processing. Many people may say that this will reduce the smoke on your meat, but I did not find that the case. It's a heavy duty quality, and does not "warp" when I have a heavy bird on it.

GOOD AS ANY and BETTER THAN MOST ...
After reading the negative reviews and claims of warpage at varying temperatures, I must admit I was apprehensive about buying a Checkered Chef baking sheet or any other brand for that matter as I’ve not seen any other brand out there without a few claims of warpage. But what can most people do other than roll the dice if they want a new pan? Not to worry. As long as the degree of warpage does not render the pan unusable, then use it with confidence!! …. especially one as rigid, thick and nice looking as Checkered Chef’s. Having said all that, I have enough understanding of metallurgy and manufacturing to know why I think some of the Checkered Chef’s baking sheets warp and others do not and also the same with other brands as well. Read on.Of course cookware made of too thin material can warp at higher heat as well as cookware that is exposed to too rapid a temperature change and also cookware made of softer metal that just can’t take it as compared to those made of carbon steel or stainless steel. However, it is my opinion that during the manufacturing process, a certain amount of internal stress occurs in varying amounts in the metal of some of the Checkered Chef baking sheets and also other brands due to manufacturing problems with their method. The amount of stress varies from one pan to the next but some of them have almost no internal stress or close to it. Even though each pan is made straight, flat and correct with the folded rim around it, uniform and straight and all looks great, the internal stress is applying a tension on the metal in various areas. It’s like an invisible force pulling on the metal even though the metal stays straight and doesn’t move. When the metal gets heated to a high enough temperature, the stress is relieved and the tension is removed and the metal reacts by warping or bending in those areas. Obviously, the degree of warpage depends on the amount of stress and the temperature sufficient to relieve it. Apparently, some have so much stress they continue to warp with repeat heat cycles. If all the stress can be removed, the warping should be over at whatever amount it ended up. And last but not least, the ones with no or almost no internal stress when they were made should not warp when heated! Those are the ones that nobody complains about and they are obviously in the majority as indicated by the huge preponderance of 5 star reviews. The steel theoretically should be stress relieved before and after the manufacturing process. It is quite likely the Chinese manufacturers leave that step out and just live with warp complaints. It would be much cheaper at the bottom line. But as mentioned above, as long as the degree of warpage does not render the pan unusable, then use it with complete confidence!! And also understand that the majority of them are not going to warp. I am happy to report that the one I bought did not warp one bit!! I tested it by heating it to a temperature of 515 degrees F and checked it with an infrared thermometer.

No issues
I mostly use it to make chicken wings and the rack helps them from sitting in it's own fat and oil. As for cleaning I usually soak it in water to loosen up and anything that are stuck on the rack. Scrub it with sponge after and it usually come out looking pretty clean.

Great quality and now a better value.
I bought these back in February, for a particular recipe that demanded stainless steel baking sheets that would be preheated under a broiler. Following the recipe, the seasoned 12/14 shrimp seared and cooked perfectly. The pan warped a bit from the heat but returned to the original shape when it cooled. There was some very light discolouration, even after internet recommended cleaning methods, but it was very subtle and required moving the pan in the light to notice. The racks that come with them fit perfectly and are also well made. One more feature is the higher than normal rim, which is a definite plus when moving a pan with scalding hot cooking juices sloshing around.Pro Tip-avoid 3rd degree burns whenever you can. They sting like the dickens. So no bare hands or extreme sloshing when they're at oven temperatures. We don't use them day to day, that's what cheap aluminum ones are for, but other than the price, I couldn’t be happier. A really great set of heavy-duty, well made, stainless steel baking sheets.
