This is a comfortable brace and immobilizes the thumb effectively as long as you keep all the supports pieces in. The four adjustable straps are particularly helpful so that you can adjust it to your own comfort needs. My tendinitis has resulted in variable swelling so I need to be able to adjust it. My only criticism would be that the large aluminum insert that runs from the wrist to the palm slips out of place easily. However, one strategically placed the safety pin and the problem is solved. I have to wear it 24/7 now so I am going to buy another one so I can swap and wash regularly.

After the second shot of cortisone to treat my left wrist tenosynovitis, I decided to look for a good brace to prevent the reoccurrence and then I tried this Scurnhau thumb wrist splint. I had a smaller wrist brace before which didn't help a lot, but this one is absolutely a game changer to me, the thumb support and the two aluminum plate support work very well to limit the movements of my thumb and wrist although I don't wrap the straps tightly, so it is comfortable for a long time wearing. I like this brace a lot.

Good and durable

It seems to really work and provides the protection that I need for my De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis that I’ve been diagnosed with along with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I ordered a size M for right hand and I’m able to adjust it to fit perfectly. Love that it has adjustable straps and removable metal.
